This is a beautiful tribut to your pop. This song always was a favorite of mine, but with my dear grandpa in the hospital now, it hits a chord deep in my soul. Grandpa was always there for us. He made us laugh when he was silly. He made us cry with his stories of being in a death camp in WW2. He was missing in action and our family had morned his passing once already. He is now 87 years old and every day is a gift to us. We love you Grandpa.

I have always like this song...I never herd the whole thing, but the begining of the song I grew up on...you called it April 24th 1981...my father wants this song played at his funeral when he passes...thank you so much for making this wonderful song!!!

My father passed on July 13th 2009... I miss him very much.. he had a blood infection that killed his kidneys... My home seems so empty now....

That was wonderful! I'm was ALWAYS big Rick fan (had backstage beers with him six years ago :) MY father died in 84 - so it was right between both of these songs releases. Whenever I heard them, my mind would play a slideshow of my father just like the one you made of yours. Thank you for the bittersweet tears... It looks like you had a good life! :)
