  • K98 best -mosin nagan suckssssss

  • I hate accent of that fag

  • @uzickimajmunac shut up you retard.

  • @M1LS572 lol

  • THAT GUN WAS MISSING ITS SIGHT HOOD

  • @tatt2lover That's the way they made them at first.

  • loool the speaking of german words from english-speaking guys is funny

    aydolf hitlöööör ^^

  • i got my M1 Garand... now i can think about one of these!

  • Number 7 ? it should be a bit closer to 1st in my opinion , this gun is one of the most revolutionairy ones in history , all bolt action guns that came after it where based on the k98 , like the man said even for todays bolt action guns it still is the bleu print !

  • number six i mean !

  • CoH.: "Deutscher Stahl" :D

  • best bolt action rifle ever.

  • The video should have stated the correct velocity of the WW2 German cartridge. By the time WW2 started, to simplify logistics, the Germans stopped issuing the light ball which travelled at 2,800fps and issued the heavy ball instead which travelled at 2,493fps. The heavy ball is 198 grain, the light was around 154 grain weight.

  • I hate that ww2 era german guns have to be associated with Nazis (ik it makes sense) because i really love them and would say they are my fav guns of the time period even tho i hate the nazis just as much as any other american but my friends call me a nazi for saying i would take a mauser over a springfield anyday, they were good quality guns.

  • sehr gut

  • chuck norris can bump fire a bolt action.

  • @Jack44007 chuck norris can bumpfire a sword.

  • @BigMek456 Chuck Norris can bump fire his cock. Out comes his semen at 800 RPM..... oops that was inappropriate

  • These guys clearly have no idea that the "98k" didn't innovate the bolt action or stripper clips.

  • Actually it was an earlier Gewehr 98 from WWI you can tell from the rear sight

  • Anyone notice that Richard Venola was shooting a Yugo Mauser NOT a German Mauser in this clip? UGH, clip FAIL!

  • @makedeidi I like the German guns too, but the American guns were good quality as well. German soldiers would pick up m1 carbines whenever they could, because they didn't have a light semi auto carbine. Even hitler said that he liked american weapons.

  • i know this was a good weapon but the soldiers using it must have been at a disadvantage in close quarters

  • we'll it was recommended for hitlers assasanation because it would look retarded for a pair of elite british snipers in german uniforms walking around the austrian countryside with enfields. derp

  • people need to calm down all countries copy others ideas. not just in guns but in all technologies.

  • What is wrong with almost everyone in the comments below me? Wonderful rifle by the way. Proud to own a mosin and a 98k. But the best out of the two in my opinion goes to the Swiss K31. Best rifle i have ever owned.

  • I want one of these so bad.

  • GERMAN WEAPONS BEST WEAPONS

    :D

  • @makedeido nazi

  • @FrankieJames7 german weapons are the best weapons

    and im not a nazi

    im german

    you kiddie

  • @makedeido I would love to argue with you, but you are exactly right!! I have always said Germans are without a doubt the smartest people on the earth!!

  • M1 Garand FTW! All you German Fan Boys can shove it! Gold ole USA made sure our boys had the best of the best

  • @Foley03A4 yeah cause many american weapons were copies from germany

  • @tropicthunder332 Bullshit,M1 Garand and Carbine have nothing to do with the Krauts

  • @Foley03A4 ok but after the war americans copied a lot :D

  • @tropicthunder332 like what? M16,M14,M40 are all U.S. designs as far as i know

  • @Foley03A4 boltsystem of the m40 is nearly the same as kar98 and m16 and m14 wouldnt exist if the germans hadnt invented the assault rifle.

  • @Foley03A4

Beware of what you're telling. The first principle of a primer operated blowback system (called "Gasdrucklader" in our language) has been patented in 1889. Guess where *smile*...Germany, though the Inventors, the Brothers Clair, were french citizens. Patent number was 49100. Can't see much of your "goold old america" in here.. sorry dude.

Nevertheless Garand made a great invention, but please never claim he did it on his own, without predecessors. Much more connection than you think

  • @tropicthunder332 I know of only two American rifles that were of foreign design, the Krag-Jorgenson, and the Mauser-based M1903 Springfield. Even then we improved the mauser design. After that, we used our own weapons until the late 80s when we adopted Belgian designs, about 30 years after every one else did. In fact, the M14 and M60 were only made because we didn't want to use other nation's ideas. Today, only our Squad Machine Guns are of foreign design. The rest is 100% American

  • great, now my dad is going to spend like 500$+ on this rifle, ammunition and accessories (scope, bayonet, etc.)

  • @airsoftguy85rocks airshit airshit airshit, faggot! i'm not impressive if you get gun from daddy and mommy's money. get the fuck out

  • @apha87

hey fuck you, I'm not old enough to get my own gun which is why my dad gets them and teaches me safety and other stuff so that when I am 18, I'll be ready to handle one by myself safely.

  • at least i am 18, i will buy me one of these :-)

  • most powerful rifle !!!

  • k98 best weapon in the world

  • battlefield 1943 :p

  • what was number one

  • Mosin is better - Germans built a hunting rifle - Russians built a battle rifle

  • @Foley03A4 WHAT?? are you high? are you dumb? You are obiviously both. Serious let me know whent the russians built a better weapon that the germans. Russian weapons SUCK. The only reason why that they can be considered okay is that they are reliable. Oh and by the way the 2A1 Enfield is the best bolt action rifle.

  • @zagstrukk You can shove those Kraut weapons up your ass,Russian guns will keep you alive and your enemy dead,Russians always built the better weapon, and I'll tell you this I'll take my M1 Fucking Garand over over both ANYDAY of the week,Fucking German fan boy

  • @Foley03A4 Wow every heard of a chill pill. And by the way the best bolt action is the 2A1 7.62 Enfield. Man you need to go back to school to learn how to read. German weapons will ALWAYS be better than russias pieces of junk that they create. Let me know when the U.S. Military buys a russian POS weapon. And get your head out of your ass and think. And by the way an M1 Garand is an AMERICAN weapon dumbass. Go get a life.

  • @zagstrukk No,I am tired of seeing Americans sucking up the those German bastards - Remember what they did at Malmedy in the Bulge?87 Americans shot DEAD for no reason. Enfield sucks-I own a 2A1,Russian Mosin Nagant cycles faster, shoots more accurate.Care to know German soldiers threw down their scoped Mausers in favor for a scoped Mosin Nagant? Factual history - Germans built a hunting rifle and the Russians built a battle rifle that will keep you alive. Your a German fan boy of the worst kind

  • @zagstrukk And no shit the M1 is American - When have I stated otherwise? M1 will outshoot any of the crap the Nazis were making,And it did all the way to Berlin

  • @Foley03A4 omg stupid low IQ american;) who have no idea about weapon system

i remember the germans make the best weapons ever way better than the russian weapons

you dont know how many modern weapons your US Army and the whole world buy from the germans

  • @budspencer1929 Name one you damn Kraut! M16? Nope,M4 Nope,M40? Nope

  • @Foley03A4 omg ;) the HK416 is way better than the m4 and g36 is better than the old m16

  • @budspencer1929 The majority of small arms the US buys is from FN Herstal, not German weapons.

  • @esh325 i know

i applied on other countries like spain, greece, brazil, indonesia, mexico,UK etc............

  • @Foley03A4 When did the german drop the Kar 98 Kurz for a Mosin Nagant. You are a DUMBASS RUSSIAN FANBOY OF THE WORST KIND. And by the way I don't suck up to the germans. You IMPLIED it, go get a life retard. Oh and by the way the best bolt action is 2A1 you are just dumb and don't know how to use it since your a RUSSIAN. Go get an education. You take the cake on being a dumb fuck.

  • @zagstrukk They indeed did,Sepp Allerberger a top German sniper told of one account,he had met up with 3 German snipers all armed with scoped Russian M1/30's and they told him "Its the German snipers rule to use Russian sniper rifles - the scopes are much better and they shoot more accurate" Fact! Im American idiot and have no Russian blood in me,Typical German fan boy you are and of the worst kind,Get out of America! German lover

  • @Foley03A4 Your so full of your self its not even funny. WHY would germans drop the kar for a WORSE weapon. GET OUT OF THE US RUSSIAN LOVER. Typical dumbass who can't remember shit. And doesn't have their shit together. The U.S. IS THE best country in the world I wouldn't leave it to live in russia unlike you. Go get a education and actually TRY TO LEARN SOMETHING DUMBASS. Typical Russian Dumb Fuck.

  • @zagstrukk Bullshit,I have fired both original sniper rifles and the Russian beats the German model No questions asked! Care to know the k98 sniper rifle requires a fucking screwdriver to adjust windage? Outdated as hell,Russian model feautures clearer optics, simple adjustments (fingers only) and a sharp reticle (German retilce a dull hump) Facts! You fucking Kraut lover - Care to know who were our allies in WWII? Not Fritz! Get the Fuck out of my country

  • @Foley03A4 Sad, sad, sad. You need to get a life. Mosin Nagant is a Piece of russian junk. not at great a kar 98. As Ron White says,"You can't fix stupid." That applies you by the way. And I not a "german lover" as you quote. If america sucks that much then go live in Russian. WHERE YOU BELONG. Get a life.

  • @zagstrukk Bullshit, you never even fired a Mosin rifle, which is a much better combat rifle than that k98,Mosin is reliable as hell,Nothing will stop it from firing and it is accurate as hell. German shad a hunting rifle,Russians had a combat rifle. I better stop replying to your nonsense before I catch Dumb ass - Fritz lover

  • @Foley03A4 I better stop replying so I don't catch the "I LOVE MOTHER RUSSIAN DISEASE!" Your retarded by the way. Go Get A Life. Seriously you act like a 3 yr old. This is weapon is the best because I say it is. Well that is complete and utter bullshit. The best bolt action will be the 2A1. If you don't believe me then go out and try one. And if you say that the bolt is smoother on a russian POS. You have your head up your ass.

  • @zagstrukk Fuck you Asshole,I own 3 Enfields including a 2A1 - Nothing more than plinker,Get the Fuck off Call of Duty and go fire these weapons in real life, you will be suprised on which is better (Russian) I bet you run around in an SS Uniform fucking yourself to Hitlers portrait,Nazi Prick

  • @Foley03A4 Anger management 101!

  • @zagstrukk I'll tell you this as before,I'll take a U.S. M1 Garand over ANYTHING the Krauts,Ruski's,or Brits had!

  • @Foley03A4 Finaly some common sense! Russian lover boy is no more. Though I would prefer a 2A1 with the 5 round chargers that fit it.

  • @zagstrukk You would prefer a bolt rifle to the semi auto Garand??? 2 less rounds i Can live with

  • @Foley03A4 You can fire just as fast as the Garand with the 2A1. And you have almost NO chance of losing your thumb.

  • @zagstrukk But once you turn that corner in Urban warfare and you got 5 enemy soldier's in front of you I am going to want a Garand

  • Shooting this gun is on my list of things to do before im 50

  • I still like Mosin more

  • Low combat effectifness? How many people died in 2 WWs, killed by the K98?

  • Comment removed

  • Nasty little corporal...

  • Lol the title is wrong ! It's not a K98 it's a K98K "K" for short !

  • @heisenfeis K for karabina

  • @ondraa061 the first K is for "Karabiner". the last is for "kurz" which is German for short.

    Karabiner (18)98 kurz

  • The mauser definately deserves its place on the list. Extreme accuracy, long range, decent punch considering it's a 7.92mm, 5 round internal magazine, and a bolt so smooth a toddler could operate it. Kicks like a mule though, and leaves a bruise too. Ouch!

  • @08natahnw Your not holding is right then.

  • Its not only good loooking, It will kick your ass too. I had a mint condition ww2 unit, and tested it firing at close range at a approx 2 mts of paper back old books; result the projectile went through all of them and was nowwhere to be found in the earth behing the books. I guess @ 3000 mts probably man killing power. Elegant and effective. Dont forget the 2 types of bayonetts ( mine was the stabbing one)

  • @KBSmite2 What types of markings are on the weapon? It should have Mod98 on one side and a serial number. Mine for example has AR42 stamped on the breech.

Also if it has a straight bolt then it may be portugese, chinese etc or a ww1 version. There are many different types out there.

  • One of the most durable and solid rifles ever made, alongside rifles like AK-47, HK 416, G3 and so on...

  • i have a german rifle but i dont know if i could tell if its a 98k rifle or not. what does that stand for anyways. thanks to anyohne who answers this question.

  • @KBSmite2 The k stands for "kurz", which means "short" .

  • @KBSmite2 Look at the rear sight. If there is wood between the reciever ring and the rear sight, then it's not a 98k. If it is bare metal, then it is a 98k. Or a Mauser of German or Czech manufacture (Czech, depending on the date of production, most Czech rifles have that wood covering).

  • @KBSmite2 Mauser K98k: the K stands for karabiner, the k stand for kurz

  • i would love to help with a new design of the k98 with the mauser factory, i do life in germany only im not good in physics XD

  • this is a beautiful weapon, and a fun shooter, the Germans know how to build a rifle, thats for sure, i own three of these, love em.......the same punch as a 30-06 !

  • M1 garand wins

  • ach ja wir bauen immer noch die bessten waffen auf der welt

  • Simply a Beautiful Gun. The crack is wonderful, its what every man should want to shoot!

  • talking about the 98k and shooting the WW1 Gewehr 98....

    retards

  • i still prefer my mosin the sling is better you dont have to move your face from the stock to cycle the action. plus the mosin stays open after the fifth round is fired. i am half german and it pains me to say i prefer the russian gun but i do but i love shooting my two mausers anyway.

  • @MOSINMAN72, the thing about WW2 bolt actions is they are all quite similar. One isn't A LOT better then the other.

  • beautiful gun on COD2

  • the K98's benefits is in HOW the action works in comparasion with others, and even Mauser's earlier bolt actions. Many earlier bolt actions cocked the hammer when you pushed the bolt back forward while trying to chamber a round, for example. Imagine trying to chamber a round AND pushing against the hammer spring? rough.. This and many other changes resulted, over time, into the 1898 design.

  • Far from perfect, but I still love the K98k.

  • What show is it???

  • you experts are givin me a headache. lmao about the comment on the advantage of k98s in close combat. you fuckin pupilcallofdutyretardherosoldiers: go and take a look out of ya window.....

  • I hate all these freaks who get boners over German guns like the fat ass at 0:44

  • Rofl the K98 is my all time favorite World War gun

  • ive got one! :)

    my favourite rifle ever.

  • Comment removed

  • best rifle ever!

  • I must have the same taste in gun with Hitler then because this is my favorite rifle too

  • In my opinion this is the prettiest and best bolt action of the second world war. One of the best actions to ever be created! 7.92 x 57mm packs a nice punch.

  • @strechinpick Ye even though it was created by the Nazis it is pretty good weapon.

  • @Mikkhep actually the rifle was created by Mauser. It was simply a upgrade of the Gewher 98 used by the Germans in WW1. Although it was used by the Nazi Regime keep in mind that not all Germans during the Second World War were members of the Nazi Party. Regardless of who used it the rifle will always be a legend and A bar to measure all other rifles to.

  • @Mikkhep What does political ideologies have to do with the ability to manufacture firearms?

  • @Mikkhep You couldn't be more wrong. Paul Mauser created the rifle originally as the Gewehr 98 rifle, before World War I even started. It was then shortened and had a curved bolt and different sight added for the 98k.

  • Imagine in Stalingrad you squad had a noncom with an MP40 and the rest of the soldiers had a bolt action. Fifty yards away a squad of Russians all have submachine guns. Would you poke your head up to take a shot?

  • well in stalingrad, soviets were mostly hiding in buildings, in which it is difficult to get a shot with out being shot at first. They had sniper rifles, and the russian submachine guns weren't super accurate, at i would peep my head up if i had a mauser. 50 yards is like 150 feet?

  • There were plenty of large gunbattles in Stalingrad. It wasn't all snipers. There were hundreds of thousands of men fighting in the city at the same time. The German mistake was to conquer Stalingrad instead of reducing it to rubble. There was no strategic importance to the city by the time the Germans occupied it. All of the factories had been removed or destroyed.

  • man, the russians can shoot very well. look, i read a story of a german soldier. he writes that they were in a factory which was half russian and half german. so he held a newspaper out of the door- immediately there was a hole in it

  • yea, i heard of that, but with a submachine gun, you can't hit anything in long ranges no matter how good an ace you are. the guy gave me a scenerio about a bunch of russian guys 50 yards away, with submachine guns. Russian, Submachine guns are short range, inaccurate and not very good stopping power.

  • yes, you re right. but i d say in a realistic scenario the russians would have some mosin nagants, too.

  • They are fast shooters, but not to smart, if he saw a newspaper as a threat i mean. lol.

  • @jackzero99 by that time, (Stalingrad) Germans used the MP 40, MG 42 and the StGw-44 Assaultrifle.

  • @ozeangruen Stalingrad was 1942. The StG44 came out in 1944. The MP-40 was only for noncom officers. The MG42 was a machine gun. Each squad only had one. The rest of them had bolt action rifles unless they were lucky enough to have a G41

  • Seems like i haven't been the only one thinking about this: The mauser is a good rifle indeed, but got damn it had to be scary going close to anything with a bolt action. Like, if you haven't already cocked it ready for fire when you enter a house or whatever, your pretty much fucked if you encounter a russian or an american with a semi/auto gun. I would have been so shocked that i dont know if i could cool my mind and cock the rifle, and even if i did, id better well make that hit :P

  • @KyoshoCrew then it would be wiser to let a guy with a mp40 go in first, or throw a nade in. Rfles like those are not meant for inside house fighting, since sub machine guns were already invented.

  • @sharkie541 Yes, and they did use tactics like that for whenever they could, but close shooting and combat did ofc happen all the time. Imagen Stalingrad f.ex, urban fighting with a bolt action could be really unfortunate

  • well, yes, but you have an advantage with your mauser against a submachine gun: your butt. the mauser is a pretty heavy weapon in hand to hand combat, but its still handy, so you can beat pretty hard...

  • Some sub machine guns have butts, actually most do / did.

  • yeah, of course. but id say that because of the higher weight of the rifle its an advantage. when you hit him, hell go down

  • SMG's had wood butts too.

  • yeah, you re right. but i d say the higher weight of the rifle is an advantage cuz when you hit him, he'll go down

  • @1993heavenshallburn wrong, cause the higher the weight, the less the soldier can carry. You can only pack so much on someones back and expect them to preform, it was a fairly heavy weapon, it weighed 9 lbs

  • @uscgkid109 you re probably right, but i d say a mauser is better in hand to hand combat. look, if your enemy with an smg takes his weapon at the barrel and hits you from straight above and tries to hit your head, you can block him with the whole weapon. and if you re the one that attacks, so hit him and if you hit him, then he ll have a broken head.

  • There wasn't always a guy with an MP40 around and you can't throw a grenade in every room you clear. How many grenades can one person carry? I'm surprised the Germans didn't have a semi-auto rifle for all of their infantry by 1941. It is a fact of war that nearly every soldier will be involved in street fighting at some point.

  • @1993heavenshallburn Yes, but he was willing to change tactics when it came to Blitzkreig and dive bombers. Why did he insist on keeping a WWI rifle for the infantry? Yes, he was crazy in the head.

  • @jackzero99

err... it wasn't Hitler's direct decision to keep the K98k, in 1943 the Gwehr-43 was introduced and the MP44 approved a year later... but it was just easier to keep building K98k's, it was too hard to make enough semi-auto/assault rifles.

Pre-1939, the K98k seemed good enough as all the countries Hitler planned to fight were also only armed with bolt action rifles.

Hitler's mistake was going to war AT ALL (especially against the USSR).

  • @Treblaine not all countrys used bolt-actions some countries used Semi-automatic weapons not all countries service rifles were bolt-action most yes not all

  • and thats a reason why the germans lost the war

  • you re right

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA mazing :D

  • no it's mauser 98k !

  • Bolt actions were seriously outdated by WW2. I assume if you had a bolt action in those situatons that you were outgunned and have less chance of surviving. Bolt actions were still used a lot even after

WW2 as assault rifles/semi automatic rifles were still not general issue for most of the world.

  • @batmanwithak47 Well if bolt actions were the most common gun in a battle(which I believe was the case) that would even the playing field. It would suck to run into a semi or full auto though.

  • @batmanwithak47 they mounted bayonets of course!

  • It's not K98 it's Kar98k ...!

  • thats what the bayonet was for.

  • They did fight close quarters with these, but id suppose most had a pistol with them

  • Regular troops were not issued a pistol.

  • nope but most had them, they were picked up in the thousands - they used anything they could get their hands on

  • bnz 41 is from Steyr Daimler Puch AG, Werk Steyer Östereich and not buchenwald concentration camp! Du Lutscher

  • my friend is si creazy for this rifle please give to him pleasseee!

  • i gots me one of these

a bnz 41 rifle made at buchenwald concentration camp

  • I would totally get one of these if the ammo wasn't so expensive...

  • u can buy a pack fo r like 80 dollars and it comes with rambo style bandolior and 1000 more bullets in a box

  • Mauser K98 has only average handling and combat effectiveness???? I beg to differ.

  • 1:10 now that is a skilled german soldier!

  • BEST RIFLE EVER

  • I have to agree!

  • AWESOME!!

  • The Mauser K98 is a totally lethal weapon that fires heavy bullets at high speed with high precision, without doubt, a good rifle.

  • i LOVE this weapon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am not happy with the design of 5 round integral magazine. As there was already a version of 20 round detach box magazine in 1918. Why didn't the German Army accept the 20 round detach version for the main stream or made a least modiflicaton to 10 rounnds? Many German riflemans were killed before they could replace another 5 round clips or clearing the jammed integral sand in the fire fighting.

  • Back then there was the belief that soldiers would waste their ammo given the chance, so i you only give them a small amount to shoot with and they realize they need to slow down.

Also the mags they had jammed up qith mud and dirt quite easily as to load it it took 4 clips and in that time period all sorts of crap could get in there.

Also the magzine would need one EPIC spring to push all of them up making reloading difficult, so that compounded by the fact its dirty...lots of jams and such.

  • The k98 is a legend!

I own one and I'm proud of it. I prefer the Mauser over any other weapon.

  • damn right... its beautiful.

  • The Mauser 1898 Gewehr is my favorite rifle ever made. The Mauser Karabiner 1898 Kurz is not my favorite rifle, but i gotta give it my props for keeping the 98 legesy alive for so long. MAUSER FOR LIFE

  • The Mauser was selected for the proposed assassination of Hitler.

  • Kurz 98 Mauser.

  • i feel like owning one of these

  • you should. i own an authentic ww2 kar98k with a metal butt stock for bashing heads in. beutiful firearm. i absolutely love it. flawless

  • what assassination attempt is the narrator referring to at the beginning of this video?

  • The vid says 2,822 fps while the federal ammo is only 2,360 fps

  • The vid says 2,882 fps while the best federal ammo will go just 2360 fps

  • mooi wapen

  • Ive got a few vids of mine in my account.

Truly one of the most amazing bolt action rifles ever developed. Smooth bolt and very easily manipulated. The only draw back to this rifle is the sights, they dont lend themselves to quick target acquisition, and are hard to see if you dont have decent eye sight.

  • I must have to disagree whit you on that,I have been huntig with opensights fore almost 16 years now..and i have been using 7 or 8 diffrent types of opensights and have always gone back to the mauser ironshigths...I have "modyfide" it by paintig the frontpost with a strong white color so it has become wery easy to see, even in dim light...

  • well some people really like he inverted V deal. many dont.

Im not a fan. It takes time to line up, they suck on a bright day. Theres also quite a bit of room for error. ITs a good rifle, but the sights are poor.

  • Average handling and combat effectiveness, I guess the producers all own Lee enfields and shoot with Lera
