I think I would of joined the Germans if I had been under Soviet rule for 2 years. It wasnt a Nazi thing , just someone that came and kicked the Soviets out. Nazi germany did little for Lithuania except use them as labour and cannon fodder. As for the Jews, many sided with Soviets in '39 against Lithuanian naigbours . Some Jews got what they deserved

I was even going to emigrate and do my time in the IDF as Im an ex British Soldier. However being in Israel was a big wake up call when i saw the situation with the Palestinians and I became involed in teh Peace movement there. Therefore I can't retrun to Israel now. I visit Lithuania often and have leant much from the findings of Dr Jonas Trinkunas of Vilnius University.

Another fact is the only Lithuanian Jews who had survived extermination were Jews which were deported by Soviets in 1939 and 1940s together with ethnic Lithuanians to GULAG camps and Siberia. Soviets deported Jews as well, not only Lithuanians.

We didn't forget. We just did not want all-out war and a potential nuclear holocaust. I know the Lithuanians might feel betrayed by this, but the circumstances made it impossible for us to help. However, Lithuania and Balticum were always in our minds (especially here in Denmark), which I hope your entry into the EU is proof of. Never more will you be forgotten. :)

Go to internet and calculate, it will be enough to put your planes down. There was no fight in Vilnius, garnison was to week to fight and left Vilnius. You met lithuanian main forces near Giedraičiai and your asses were kicked, lithuanian army reached Kernave and was ready to free Vilnius, but fighting was stopped by commision of united nations.

What Poland did was a dishonourable backstabbing (because you can´t win anything in fair fight). Poles were always licking boots of the ones who were stronger than themselves.
