My only real gripe with this show is that it was the original set of WOC. I love that show, and I wish that Disney would have kept the original set. But, it makes an awesome platform for Fantasmic!. Although, I would have wanted the soundtrack to be left alone, and if it would have to be altered, at least modernize the soundtrack (make it seem fresher, not completely change it). At least they kept the original theme though.
@Mega18G There's a reason that TDS Fantasmic! is similar to World of Color. The set for TDS Fantasmic! was originally going to be used for World of Color, specifically the giant Sorcerer Hat that Mickey's on top of. But they decided not to use the hat and sent it, along with the rest of the original World of Color equipment, to Tokyo Disney Sea where they used it to make this version of Fantasmic!. That's why this show is so similar to DCA's World of Color, because TDS Fantasmic WAS the original
on other videos ive seen of the japan fantasmic people complain that the dialoge is not in english, well, why should all of it be in english? the show is in Tokyo, where the national language is, you guessed it, Japaneese. other then that, this show is absolutley amazing. its not a carbon copy of either of the us shows, but thats whats good about it. each Fantasmic show (at DL, WDW, and TDS) is unique and amazing, and thats what it should be: a different Fantasmic experiencs at each park.

The story doesnt make sense until the villiains show up, the synching is bad, the music sounds like its been cut from other pieces and put together with others, and some parts just seem so random. Now dont get me wrong, this is a good show, but I wouldnt call it Fantasmic, I would call it World of Imagination (Maybe). If they fixed the issues I mentioned, this show would be the superior Fantasmic, especially with that tech.
@sonic619760 I think it does deserve to be called "Fantasmic!" It does have the "Fantasmic" and I give kudos to the Imagineers for putting a different spin on the show. Do I think it's better than Disneyland's "Fantasmic?" Of course not. TDS had plenty of space and money to work with, but DL gets points for utilizing the space and surroundings.

I wear a Mickey Mouse necklace from Disneyland Paris everywhere I go, my mum gave it to me when she realised how big of a fan i am. I wish they had this show in DLRP. (going there tomorrow)

@WDI2008 what are you talking, you do realise this is in japan, if the dialogue are in english, what make you think that the japanese who made up the majority of visitors to tokoy disney have to make concession just because you don't understand japanese?
@FantasmicDragon1 They had to bring in a different voice actors to immitate Ursula, Genie and Mickey. The original actors weren't available for recording...nor did any of them know Japanese.
The only thing I didn't like was the Jungle sequence with the inflatable Pumbaa, Simba and the third one I didn't figure out. And lip syncing. But the syncing can be polished out in later performances.
I think this show is a big hit, and they did a really good job. With the earthquake and everything, they were able to present the guests that will be a big hit. But about the fact that I think WDW's version is the best, I think this version definetly beats WDW and DL because of it's technology, and the combo of WOC as well.
Well..... This is an interesting version....: different intro, similar scenes (jungle scene in particular mixing both from Disneyland and Walt Disney World), same set-up of villians like Disneyland's, and intriguing use of the projector on the 360 thing in the middle :P
The only thing I wish they added would be more villians (particularly Dr. Faciller in a way), maybe also a 'bigger' Maleficent like the one at Disneyland. Other than that, it's awesome nonetheless! :)
@Zorran202 The dragon is already as big as the building behind it, which is as big as the hotel from what I understand. Any bigger, and there may be structural issues. Especially since she's on a boat.

I understand that most of this stuff is on barges... but I thought they made a secret trap door in the middle of the water stage like that other fire breathing thing back at BraviSEAmo or something like that to fit Maleficent... maybe it's just me... At least they could've added the wings on her to make it look like her (Disneyland's for example) in a sense...
@Zorran202 She has water wings, though. (Don't laugh, because that's what they are.) Incidently, what did happen to the Fire Bird Pit from BraviSEAmo! ? The last news I heard on it was that they were dismantling the structure so it could be used for the Dragon...
@zeekslider Yes! When I went to see WOC, I was splashed every minute, and the fountains weren't even pointing in my direction. Wind is a major factor in water shows that companies have to consider.
