Not everyone who gets treated like shit all their life whether abused by their own family like parents or their friends turn out to be murderers, so I'd have to say when it comes down to it regardless how he may have been treated he is still responsible for his own actions. Especially once he becomes an adult and is old enough to know that taking another life or treating people the way he was treated is wrong.
But for all the cases the DA's in many of the other states and in Texas were able to clear off their books, the real killers were never sought or caught or punished for the crimes they committed.
The reality is that McLennan County (Waco, Texas is the County Seat) DA Vic Feazell was right. Lucas killed a few people, maybe three or four..and for that he deserved the penalties assessed him.
I blame his mom!
