Thanks for posting the video. I was wondering if you have another pictures from before the concert? My husband and I were sitting my the guy in the pink shirt and would love to see if we could spot ourselves!!! It was our 10th anniversary!
Congratulations on your anniversary! Great way of celebrating. I'm a bit pushed for time this week but I'll try to take a look through the photos (100s) to see if any are taken of this guy. Cheers.
Apologies for delay - I've been off youtube for a while. I've had a good look at all the photos and I'm afraid you're out of luck. No more of the guy in the pink shirt. Sorry but it was worth a shot!
Ive bought the ticket for this concert a day before , very spontaneusly .the siting places were far away from stage ,I said to my wofe lets come cosest posible will see what happen, and I was standing whole concert by the stage on the right side , security guys were very friendly. By this song I was a singing with Elton and all fans beeing just a few meters form him...that was totally unexpected adventure for me and my wife , Elton in the last evening in Venice.Kuba and Marzena , Lodz ,Poland
I bought tickets before I went to Venice and I agree it's great to see a concert while on holiday. I'm going to do it again - check out if anyone is playing near the place I'm going on holiday. It was a very relaxed concert. The square looked really beautiful when he sang Candle in the Wind but I wasn't expecting the place to light like that so I didn't really capture it on film. Frances
Thanks Mick. This was his encore. The beginning of the film is where I was sitting but I decided to go up to the stage. Got quite a bit of footage but unfortunately I was either swaying to the music or singing along! lol I might be able to salvage some of it.
Well done Frances. You got really close to the stage. Hard to believe it is over 30years since I saw him do a little a peppy duet with Kiki Dee, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", in Central Park New York.
Thanks - I did get in pretty close. Nothing like a few bottles of wine to give a person a hard neck!! lol. I've seen him before in concert in the RDS but he had the whole troupe with him. He couldn't use any other musicians in San Marco because the vibrations would have affected the foundations! Fair play to him he played for over 2 hrs. without a break and donated all the money to the renovation. He has a palace in Venice and seems to love the place.
Great. I knew his Red Piano tour he was going to do there last year freaked out a couple of conservationists. He has a philanthropic streak. Aren't the vids going well!!!
They are indeed! Elton was going to do the same type of concert last year and donate the proceeds but he cancelled at the last minute - problem with his voice apparently. The conservationists are charmed with him this year!
Lucky You.... wish I could have seen this!
