  • its no to huge laydown as you think.

First of all its pretty dry board, not many draws there - only 78, so not great flop for bluffing, not many hands you can represent on turn/river - its pretty unlikely ivey would lead into 3-way pot with overpair 10-10 / JJ / QQ / KK, also considering Allen had 2 aces in his hand it is less likely ivey had AJ-AK range in his hand.

turn/river changes almost nothing, so Ivey had set , 78s or he was trying to rep set

  • @volter84 I am 100 % sure you would fold AA, lol. You must be a free chip play money player, watch and learn and dont make silly comments. Nobody wants to read your crap.

  • @serratop

free chip play? good one, you must be one of those donkys micro players who's always calling with AA no matter what flop is. And if you don't agree post WHY, im tired of reading dumb donk's on other forums.

  • Love the way Ivey gets credit for "building a big pot". He sucked out on an innocuous looking flop & THE GUY HAS POCKET ACES - Ivey didnt have to do anything

  • tha iz whay he hish da chu tawsand in fight playa uf dee yeee

  • scary fishhhhhhh

  • I bet he put ivey on 78s

  • phil is WAAAAAAAY better thaan negreanu. he just isn't as loud and obnoxious

  • Nice play

  • negreanu sucks he can't read for crap he does it on one wsop and everyone thinks thats amazing any decent player can read other players hands they just don't say it out loud.

  • @fliptthescript you've clearly never seen the many other amazing hands negreanu has played..

  • @jakerhymeswithsnake By his own admission, Negreanu is nowhere near Durrrr and Ivey caliber. He's pretty good in the lower high stakes games though.

  • Let's be honest, anyone playing Ivey would probably fold aces a lot of the time because he's Ivey. In any other situation I would have screamed all in faster than the other guy would have said raise (on the flop).

  • its an easier laydown than we think.. the 10 on the river completes the straight

  • I think this might be the best laydown I have ever seen, maybe even better than that one guy who folded a full boat at the wsop

  • @samueljue i dont think so.. here he could have 22, 99,66,44,10 10... unlike in the wsop.. it was just AA, KK.. or 10 10 for a four of a kind... plus the bet size made it much difficult to fold cause it wasnt a big bet.. im stickin with the JJ's full fold..

  • @boladrummer but this is a cash game, where every decision is worth like 30-40k. And this is no amatuer who is betting..Phil Ivey. The guy who had the kings full was a noob and was oozing so mnay tells and obviously had a monster. For Allen, the board is no flush and virtually no straights. He was up against the best player in the world who woudl probably still bet 35k even if Ivey had just pair of 10s

  • he shouldve folded preflo9p

  • @jackmosley06 Haha

  • of course he must fold

  • @pabdullasalah its not really an easy fold against IVEY.. if it was against many other players it would be a fold.

  • easy fold imo.... what does allen beat that ivey would triple barrel into him with. Cunningham is a nit and was the pre flop raiser. So for Ivey to triple barrel with air would never happen. He could beat JJ-KK. Loses to everything else in iveys range. Honestly this is like a standard fold. Easy IMO.

  • @LiberalGRINDER It's easy when you are sitting at home on your computer watching...try playing live with that kind of money and see if it's that easy. You nub.

  • @LiberalGRINDER Knowing Cunningham's tight reputation, Ivey could be bluffing three streets with air. If he knows that Cunningham can fold big hands it gives him much more incentive to bluff. Moreover, if Ivey had KK or QQ he may still make the same play thinking Cunningham had JJ or QQ for example. In fact, as I just read the comment below by lehtinen21, that's apparently exactly what Ivey did in the newest season. Against Ivey, that's far from an easy laydown.

  • @LiberalGRINDER you suck at poker. you probably have never even played it live, online its an easy fold because you no they will suck out and you will lose 9 times out of 10 with pocket aces because its rigged but live is completely different.

  • @LiberalGRINDER oh shut up you would have reraised all in if you were him you stupid donk stop trying to be smart

  • He did exactly the same laydown in the newest season of this show. This time, it was wrong laydown. I swear, it went like Ivey or Cunningham raised preflop, but then it was Ivey bet the flop, bet turn, bet river. Cunningham folded AA to that last barrel. I vey had air.

IMO, Ivey is the best in the world and its not even close. Cunningham is good tho, usually makes right folds

  • I love this hand and the hand where Allen folded AJ instanly against Guy Laliberte

  • phil lvey bluff king

  • awesome play from cunningham , he rly lost minimum there .

  • Cunningham is the best

  • much respect to allen, he was certain he was behind when he folded and it was against ivey. true pro.

  • GUS IS PAYING MORE ATTENTION THEN THE ANNOUNCERS

  • nice fold...i wonder what he put him on

  • I think the only reason why allen cunningham folded was because of the straight possibilitys, because ivey played it like a draw, because he bet the flop, bet the turn and river and the river and turn were all straight cards that connected with ones on the flop.

  • I imagine Cunningham was afraid of 78. Maybe he read a set, but I would have called, nervous of the straight.

  • @pickpoche retard

  • half of the pot seens to be so obvious a value bet....but cunningham has a lot of guts to fold that hand

  • wow, how could he:P

I think it is because he saw that phil ivey just called with 3 players in the pot, so he might have hit something. And its not worth calling 3 bullets with only 1 pair. Good laydown:)

  • that 4 on the turn saved cunningham a shitload of money

  • @acies92 why the 4? I would defentely say the T on the river completing the 87 straight.

  • Not exactly sure what i was thinking. The 4 does complete another straight draw but one that is less likely to be played

  • lol who would play 5 3

  • Allen is one the best readers along with Ivey himself and of course the soul reader Negreanu:)

  • @MrAmea yeah negreanu is the best reader in the world

  • @MrAmea lol at people who still think negreanu is good.

  • @applesauceman Well he's not running too badly in the TOC at the moment...

  • @mutzigmorzine jerry yang didn't run too badly in the main event.

  • @applesauceman The main event is bull, TOC is actually a good test of skill. He finished in the money in the £25k 6 max last night as well.

  • @mutzigmorzine sample sizes ftw. luckboxing ftw.

  • @MrAmea negreanu would be a losing player if he were to play there, he just sucks in cash games

  • @MrAmea negreanu isn't in the same league as ivey.

  • @xentech its not about who is better than who.. ivey is perhaps the best poker player in the world but negreanu is easily one of the 5 best in the last 5 years!

  • @MrAmea The problem withh daniel is he doesnt fold when he senses hes beat

  • @MrAmea

Negreanu does read cards well but isn't he suppose to lay down his hand when he "knows" he's beat but he always aeems to call. If he would trust his reads and fold when he's beat then he would be the best at reading people.

  • @zerep006 If you don't call sometimes how would you ever know your read was any good. He does that for information. Now what you're saying that we all should just guess, and pray we're right.

  • He's Allen Cunningham!

  • nice laydown
