  • turn it down, far too loud!

  • "Rompin' Stompin' Graveyard Destruction"

    Amazing!

  • Ah, not the Sting I was anticipating.

  • Announcer: Hmm. Sting you said your apart of serious stuff and the real deal. What if i predicted in the future 20yrs from now you would protray a version of the joker...from Batman. (and maybe make a mockery of yourself)

Sting: The Joker?! NEVER!! *then stinger splashes the announcer* WOOOO!

lol.. if only this weren't true now Sting

  • I remember watching this interview with Sting as a kid

  • Man the 1980's were confusing. Perhaps my memory is clouded but is this really the lead singer of the Police?

  • @blueknightuk lol

  • what is he on?

  • back then , wrestling was portrayed liek boxing and football. It still wasnt widley accepted that it would be scripted. The bumps people take are real, but the matches are predetermined. They didnt discuss that concept widely.

  • this interviewer is so horny and her voice so silky. imagine what a great fuck shed be in those black stockings and that red top! the dirty blonde!

  • what an ignorant nobody interviewing sting...."the big bad boy of wrestling" and calling him a "boy",....she deserved to be arsefucked by el gigante and than pistol whippped in the face for being so poorly researched ignorant and patronising.

  • I love the Duke Nukem Haircut... I miss the '80s

  • GOD BLESS STING!.

That man has a Heart of GOLD donateing his own Money to help deathly ill kids!!.

    God Bless you Steve Bordon!.

  • Check out the shoulders on him, av a word

  • 2:30 rest in peace Macho...

  • Nurses of little stingers? lol.

  • sting looks annoyed and rightfully so, this uninformed ill prepared posh cunt keeps refering to him as 'the bad guy of wcw' thus missing the entire point of sting. do your research before you interview somebody

  • You know Sting maybe the only american professional wrestler who has never signed with the WWF/WWE but I heard that the WWE maybe considering having a WCW Hall Of Fame to even though that once before WCW had a Hall Of Fame back at Slamboree 1993 and if WWE has one Sting should definitely be inducted into it.

  • after all these years, i still don't know :

    1. the Sting name - where he got it & who gave it to him

    2. Face paint - who gave him the idea to have it. & where he first had it. why does he wear it?

  • @thetakeris4ever Are you talking about his current style facepaint? The black and white one or this one? For the current one, he was inspired at least somewhat by Eric Draven from The Crow film series.

  • THe other Sting

  • sting is the real deal.

  • Gary Glitter LOL if only they knew.

  • I think he needs more pink.

  • Thank god for You Tube for letting us watch this! This was when TV was a lot better as presenters where more professional and grown up about there work. That lady interveiwed Sting beautifully! Audio is low though.

  • @boru25 perhaps presenters were more proffesional and grown up, but this one was ill informed and patronising....she didnt do her homework and thats a sackable offence. i accept she wasnt being malicious jst probably got fed some poor information by some research graduate ignorant of wrestling

  • @boru25 right now they (media organizations) arent recruiting real journalists. they are recruiting models and actresses and feeding them what to say through wireless mics. Its deplorable.

  • jim carrey.

  • @alexdelarge98 i thought the same thing

  • man I thought I heard the "n" word at :32!

  • shes a british news reporter not a wrestling expert and gary glitter is a convicted pedo

  • Sting makes pink tights look cool...

  • Sting was the bad guy, was he? Thats news to...everyone

  • lucky sting says that hes gota see waht gary glitter looks like before he joins him. gary tunred out to be a slimy pedo.

  • anyone ever notice that Sting in his early days had a big phat ass?!?!?!

  • @NiceVideos11 It was the bright colours.

  • @plasteg

Really??... All I knew was that in the early 90s Sting was fucking HOT!!!!

  • that deathrow guy had a HUGE gut. wtf was he doing in the ring with sting? lol. it look like a match that was supposed to booked in a gym. wtf? haha how is that guy ever going to make sting look good?

  • She's awkward because she's turned on; Sting's a hottie.

  • He wasn't a bad guy like this reporter said.

  • @neomysterio I would give that female reporter whos one hot britt.. my american cock.. yum yum she's probably a abit older now.. but wow..

  • Oh my they mentioned Garry Glitter oh cripes!!!

  • Warrior and Stig are so Look a like Still.

He Does not Admit that Warrior were helping him.

And Warrior LIke It oR not Is more Icon than the World Wrestling Buisness man Admit.

Me , i Dream to go Back to watch BLADERUNNERS

    Hail Warrior and Sting

  • the women says 'we saw you there against Jake the Snake', jake roberts = skinny white dude

death row = fat black dude

im Art Donovan and even i can tell them apart. btw, how much does death row weigh?

  • @ArtDonovan70

shes not the production crew. shes probably not aware of what clip they played. they probably told her they were going to play that clip then force to change it. or perhaps it was a Freudian slip.

an answer to your last question, i wouldn't be surprised if it was mark henry, LOL you saw how huge that gut was? might as well been mark henry. at least mark's fat is proportioned.

  • God bless you Sting! I was a lil Stinger! Woooo!

  • Stings a boss

  • It's a Shame Sting (this Sting, the Surfer Sting) never made it to wwe.

  • @milincoln its not like he never made it wwe but wwe gave him so many offers but sting did'nt accept

  • there's a few things i know, and this i know for sure, if ANYONE EVER said that i would be a good fit with a sexual offender like gary glitter, even this interviewer, on national tv, i would CHOKE A BITCH!!!!

  • @DJglasgowSon Haha, You could see Sting trying to hold back the rage and not Scorpion Deathlock her on the table! lol

  • i used to watch wwe raw on friday nights, my best friend used to watch wcw nitro which was aired at the same time at 10pm.... but this wasnt till around 1998

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA i dont think Sting wud fit in with Gary Glitter some how, being a christian and all, well being a decent human being and all

  • y did the presenter call sting the 'bad guy' of world championship wrestling'? he was their biggest babyface

  • @Crookmeisteren

she probably just meant that he was a badass in the ring. when interviewers talk to ufc or boxing guys, they always refer/introduce them as "bad boy" whether they be a guy like holyfield, or a guy like tyson, ric flair, or sting. just a common way to introduce an athlete in a "combat sport" i guess.

  • I had ringside seats to WCW at Kensington Olympia!

  • What Sting said here "showmanship in wwf" couldn't be more true today

  • i think this is 1992. and he seems pretty pissed off with her

  • Garry Glitter?!!!!!?

  • haha i dont think sting wud wana join gary glitter in any form or fashion

  • In Indonesia, back then Wcw was far more bigger than wwf.. people tend to watch wcw than watch wwf..especiallyfor this guy... No kids in indonesia in my generation 80's who didnt know sting...he is the best wrestle ever..

  • Stinger was a face.

  • Not that it really matters but STV used to show NWA programmes in the late 80's. I can recall watching The SST, Road Warriors, Ric Flair, The Midnight Express, The Andersons, Sting, Lex Luger, Tom Zenk, Flyin Brian Pillman, The Great Muta, The Steiner Brothers and Doom facing of against jobbers.

  • Not the Sting i was expecting..lol

  • The interviewer on that show called him a "bad guy"... uh, fucking NO. He was a face then.

  • When was Sting ever the heel ? I can only think of one time that they tried to turn him heel and people just didn't care, he was still treated as a face. I don't know about TNA, because I stopped watching wrestling a few years back.

  • Yeah, that was the first time Sting was a heel, in WCW near the end of it's life. People cheered him even though he was "bad" and that caused Sting's very quick face turn afterwards. The second time Sting was heel was in TNA when he was in the Main Event Mafia. Now that he's out of MEM, Sting is face once more. Honestly, Sting can't be a heel. he's too likable. Hulk Hogan too. Hollywood Hogan in WCW worked, but if he tried it again these days, no one would believe it.

  • He was sort of a heel in TNA in 2008, but quickly became a face again.

  • Was WCW even on UK Tv in the early 90s?

  • yeah it was on itv at about 3 in the morning.

  • I remember watching nitro on TNT after Cartoon Network finished.

I also remember, in the shitty last few years of WCW it was on Channel 5 on a friday night for an hour.

  • @levisufc and they used to censor chair shots by putting things up thats said pow and shit like that

  • @levisufc yh that was the only time i actually saw wcw when it still existed, i was in a travelodge and it was on channel 5 and it musta been when it was really shit because i didn't know wat the fuk was going on

  • @levisufc Yea. Back in '98, Nitro would run on TNT from 9-11, and Raw on Sky Sports from 10-midnight. The typical friday night routine for every kid I knew was to get a load of munchies from the shop after school, tune in for the first hour of Nitro, jump over to Raw, jump back to Nitro during the Raw breaks in the 10-11 hour... then watch the Fantasy Channel's 10 minute freeview when Raw finished at midnight. Friday nights in the UK were great as a 12 year old.

  • Saturday evenings for about 20mins of really watered down highlights.

  • yep i saw it saturday afternoons. but it was usually the lesser known wrestlers rather than the the guys you REALLY wanted to watch.

  • yes love, jake the snake was clearly a black bald guy pushin 300lbs HAHA

  • sting definitely dosent want to join gary glitter lol

  • u hav neva heard of sting are u fukin kidding me u won't recognise him but he is in TNA nd has black & white face paint

  • I am talking about the black guy in the match. wcw always had some jobbers that wrestled maybe once or twice sometimes. I wanted to know who deathrow was, because I never seen this jobber.

  • ok i was gonna say how do u not no sting lol

  • Wresting Promotions used to have their top stars wrestle "enhanced talent", i..e. jobbers on television and save the qualtiy matches for the Arenas and mjor cards.

  • STING WAS SO HOT...

  • Interesting that Sting mentioned the WWE's theatrics and showmanship in a negative light when that storylines are essentially what is responsible for McMahon's defeat over the WCW.

  • they were tag partners in the 80's.

  • haha

  • Disguised buff young man in colorful face paint wearing big robe on couch = British presenter with a wet pussy.

  • i was a little stinger

  • little stingers hahaha

  • Isn't that Kamala he's wrestling?

  • lol gary glitter? aka the nonce

  • I don't think Sting is comfortable there.

  • "The bad guy at the World Championship Wrestling organisation". Brilliant. And how does one showcase a wrestler? In a squash match with a stiff.

  • What a snobby bitch. No clue. l

  • Sting was never popular in England. It was all about the WWF.

  • I dunno, it wasn't until WCW started getting shown on ITV over here that I was even able to see wrestling, too poor to get SatTV back then lol but before I got a taste of WWF Sting was my favourite.

  • I'm with ya on that one mate. My parents were too poor to get sky so the only chance I got to watch wrestling was saturday afternoon wcw on itv. Sting was my fav also. I went to the wcw tour in 1993 and shook Bull Dogs hand lol

  • You are wrong very wrong. WCW was massive in the UK and even used to get higher ratings during 1998. because some kids didnt have skyn the only chance they got to see wrestling was Saturday afternoon wcw on itv. And wcw did massive UK tours in 1991 and 1993 selling out massive arenas up and down the UK. Also wcw toys were alot cooler than wwf toys.

  • Nah, you're talking balls mate. WCW was never popular in the UK. It was only on ITV for about 6 months and was swiftly axed, if I remember. WWF was dead by 1998 so I'm not surprised WCW had higher ratings on TNT. I was talking about 1988 - 1993, when this interview took place.

  • I will correct you on this one, WCW was on ITV from 1991 - 1995 and was on Channel 5 from 1998- 2001. You may not like WCW but you are wrong to say it was not popular in Britain, it was very popular among children and I remember it being talk of school on Monday mornings.

  • Yeah, in the graveyard slot. It lasted on Saturday afternoons for (approximately) 6 months in 1993 before being summoned back to the 2am slot. That's how popular it was! Relative to the popularity of the WWF, WCW and Sting weren't popular in Britain during this period. End of chat.

  • When you consider that even in the graveyard slot WCW probably pulled in more viewers than WWF which in the early 90s had about 500,00 subscribers at most compared to 60 million with access to ITV, then WCW was obviously more watched and popular

  • WCW was popular I grant you that but it was not bigger than the WWF in the UK in the early 1990s. WCW did perform a few house shows in the UK that had decent attendences but the WWF sold out Wembley Stadium 80,000 people for Summerslam 1992 something no WCW card could have done. The irony is WCW was more popular in Britain in the early 1990s when it was naff than it was in the late 1990s when it was amazing. However Nitro was still the 3rd most watched show on Sky behind Raw and football.

  • WCW Monday Nitro on TNT never beat WWF Raw on Sky Sports. WWF Raw pulled in very strong ratings beating every thing bar football on sky from 1998 to 2003. Even now it does very well. Most hardcore fans watch/tape the 2am live showing these days.

  • like in italy,I was 9 and watch wcw only in the sunday morning.

  • WCW was popular in the UK yes, I used to watch it myself. However it has never been bigger than the WWF. Where as WCW did some successful tours in 1993 they didnt do the business the WWF did. Summerslam 1992 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium no WCW could have draw that. WCW in 1997 and 1998 was massive on TNT UK, however it never beat Raw once in the UK wars. I watched both Nitro and Raw so have no bias.

  • @mononokehime316uk

    THAT IS TRUE

    BUT IN OTHER PLACES

    WCW WAS BIGGER THAN WWE

FOR EXAMPLE JAPAN WAS BIG ON WCW

  • whens wrestling was wrestling

  • LOL! what's up with the jacket sting?

  • wow this is pretty cool! didn't even know about this one

  • Who's the presenter? She's hot.

  • lol @ gary glitter comment! - "i'd have to see the guy first"

  • I lol'd when he said that.

  • aww. i miss WCW.

  • ME TOO

  • @Apoktite yeah i know what you mean, i myself wish wcw was still on tv, because i think in my oppionion would still be number1 in the rating and i also think that when Vince Mc Mahon could of kepth the show running and he would be twice as rich as he is now

  • @Apoktite WCW was 100X better than the WWF!

  • LOL - Sting join Gary the Paedophile Glitter??????? Get real!

  • Wcw was only shown in some region, i live in stv region and we didnt get it, but i got it when i got cable tv through grampian in 1993

  • i cant believe sting was asked to join the gary glitter band. a nonce

    insult

  • Haha...right....for some reason I thinking 80's. Feels like 20 though...lol.

  • What a nice guy he is.

  • Wow, that is really classic stuff there. I find it interesting that she brought up the idea of WCW vs WWF so early in the rivalry. Too bad when it did happen over twenty years later, the writers were overwhelmed and messed it up, heh.

  • 20 years later......lol more like 8 or 9

  • it only happened 8 years later where have you been all these years? XD

  • sting was proberly thinking this stupid english women doesnt know anything about me why she interviewing me

  • she called sting the 'bad guy'

thought he was face apart from that HORRIBLE heel turn in late 99/2000

  • yeah she's stupid.

  • GMTV was and is the shittest television in the world it's amazing how they manage to get big stars.

  • Love what he's wearing there can totally pull that off.

  • LOL! Death Row baby! That was his 5 mins of fame with the Stinger.

  • True WCW fans will remember the days of WCW on ITV

  • Indeed WCW Pro at about 3am, and then Worldwide was on Central at 4pm on saturday for years!

I think it actually stayed running on Central until about 1996, because they showed Malenko and Benoit matches from Saturday Night.

  • yhep im 21 now and i remember wcw on itv

  • wcw on itv? must of been before i started watching it i started in 97 or 98 and then in 99 or 2000 thunder was on channel 4 or 5 on a wenesday night

  • yh well im guessing im older than u im 21 and i was like 7ish wen wcw was on itv wen sting, ric flair were the main guys hogan was still in wwf at the time

  • ah yea u r older im 18 in a few weeks wcw was the best wrestling company i miss it :(

  • i am older im gunna be 22 on sept 9th lol yh i agree in its peak it was very entertaining

  • totaly agree, wwe dont care what gos down aslongs as they all get pay checks, bu i watched wcw since i was 4, all the way untill it went off the air. tryed to get into wwf but it just didnt happen, think god for wcw ppv vhs's!

  • TNA Is the New WcW

  • that is kinda true if your talking about wcw from 1999 to 2001

  • WCW in the 90's had far superior wrestling compared with the WWF. Real wrestling fans watched WCW.

  • Death Row, Stings opponent is one Scary Oiled up black guy!!! I think if I saw death row coming at me all oiled up like that I'd cry!!! Wow this lady had no idea what she was talking about!

  • LOL YOU SILLY AS HELL LOL

  • He was trying to stay in character.

Everyone knows that wcw had better wrestling and wwf had the theatrics... what do you think little boys like better?

  • What were you, five years old in the nineties? WCW always had better wrestlers, and better wrestling than WWF. And for a WWE fanboy to be calling Sting arrogant -- now, that's funny.

  • terrible sound

  • She is smoking hot

  • I'm from Britain. I'm a huge wrestling fan, more specifically Sting fan and I think that this interview is basically a shamble. And a Gary Glitter reference that's disgusting. It really is.

  • This is about 6 years before they found out Gary Glitter was a paedophile, I don't think she knew that at the time ;)

  • Yeah, TV-AM stopped broadcasting on New Years Eve 1992, so this is years before people knew Garry Glitter was a nonce.

  • I'm from Britain. I'm a huge wrestling fan, more specifically Sting fan and I think that this interview is basically a shamble. And a Gary Glitter reference that's disgusting. It really is.

  • Man his hair went from Duke Nukem to....well, actually looking better now

  • Macho Man Randy Savage was at this Show ?

  • Man Sting is and was WCW through and through

  • How dare they talk to STING~ like that!

  • UK Media didnt have a clue about American Wrestling at the time. 20 years on and now people like Jonathan Ross (who interviewed the Rock) know exactly about the background of Wrestling.

  • THIS IS KINDA WEIRD

  • they used to show wcw on ITV in the afternoons in the early 90's late 80's then the took it off.

  • What did most people like in the UK in the late 80's early 90's? WCW or WCW?

  • WWF

  • yeah WWF PUNK

  • yeah WWF for me too, there was very little WCW coverage in the 90's

  • what how about the nwo goldberg ect they were in the 90s

  • When I asked this question, 1 month ago, I asked if people liked WCW or WCW.

I meant to put WCW or WWF.

  • no,no,no he does not want to join the gary glitter band....

  • was this 1993 when sting won the wcw title in london then lost it a week later to vader in dublin

  • lol, what an idiot.
