I can sing this a bit better then the live version here! haha I like them, great to see, but it's slow and over-modulated! Should be faster paced like the LP version
What the hell is wrong with us? What has happened to music that this band is now required to play in these conditions? Damn, how did things get so effed up? This is a shame. These guys should be playing to at least an arena of people. Vocals are still incredible!
thankx for the posting it!!1...great song.... so them live here in Panama City, panama years ago....one of the best concerts I've ever being....n I've being to many...pure rush...
This is great and bad at the same time (wait) I had to go back up to the see the video..the last part of this song with the jam down is one of my most absolute favorites..Its great because the vocals are so sharp ..Bad because these guys deserve arena status instead of this tent thing with 2 par lights. Their latest album is the best ever too.. at least they get to go to Heaven..so keep on humbly RocKiN!
Play a Fender Telecaster (or a Telecaster-type guitar from any other company, as long as it's still a quality guitar), and use a Roland JC-120 amplifier. and be sure to use the built-in chorus on the amp. that should get you the bright, shimmery guitar sounds from Play Deep. You also may want to throw in a good distortion or overdrive pedal, for when you want to grunge up the tone a little bit.
The Outfield...is life.....God bless them...and thanks for allllllllll the damn great memeories in life......good times good friends...and the outfield was there every part of the journey......Tim
It's too slow.........the studio version was faster.

I wish I knew how to get John's guitar sound from Play Deep. It's clean, but flawless tone!

AVman9, have you tried a telecaster through a rockman x100. Is pretty close - probably what they used.

well buy a rickenbacker guitar or shecter with a digitech 2120 effects pedal. that's how to get the outfield sound

Tony still sounds amazing! I saw them live some years back and could not believe how good he sounded!

Sounds good, but too slow! They need some cocaine like back in the day to take it up a notch.

are they really the outfields or just a cover band??
clavs 4 years ago
That is really the Outfield. When they toured in the 80s they took extra musicians, ksyoards, additional guitarist.
This is just the three members.
