  • For Appams: Soak the raw rice for four hours then drain. Grind to a fine paste. Then add the cooked rice and grind until smooth. In a separate bowl take a spoon of yeast add a spoon of sugar and dissolve in luke warm water. When the yeast rises, stir the ground raw rice cooked rice and yeast mixture together and set aside. The batter will rise and ferment. After the batter is risen, grind the shredded coconut and stir into the batter. You can add salt to taste to the batter.

    Can you please explain the grinding process. Is it only cooked rice grounded with yeast, sugar, salt.....

  • @rituvruia Just use a blender. It takes some time to blend

  • authentic, but use curry leaves to garnish, do not go after corriander leaves for the stew. No need of bay leaves, it will make your stew spoiled
