  • hey i got a French Angel too, ive had him for about 2 years now and hes 8.5 inch sub-adult he's gorgeous his yellow line nearest to his end is almost faded, i hope he ends out like yours, yours is fricken amazing!

  • Bro, lacking sand..

  • The size of the Blonde Naso Tang & French Angel impress me, amazing.

My 190 gal saltwater tank looks like a nano tank compared to yours.

    cheers

    Eric

  • sick tank

  • is this tank made out of glass or acrylic

  • "forthefishes" ought to realize that there will always be disreputable practitioners in any commercial venture. Good hobbyists and good aquarium stores want their passion for fish-keeping to be a sustaining one, and that's why there are associations that monitor where and how fish are collected. Those who collect via cyanide or other destructive means are weeded out. Hobbyists oftentimes are the best and loudest advocates for conservation.

  • I live in Hawaii and snorkel daily, so I have seen the destruction caused by aquarium collectors with my own eyes. Check out forthefishesdotorg, not my site, but shows that many people want to stop fish collecting. In fact we are hoping that new legislation will put an end to this horrible practice. I've seen fish collectors literally break live coral to get at hidden fish. Here we have some fish collected to near extinction, all gone and never able to replenish themselves.

  • Not cool. Coral reefs around the world are being destroyed by fish collecting for aquariums!

  • @forthefishes i think you need to take a dive in the ocean.

  • for some reason to me saltwater hav elots of color but they bore me and are too much work unlike freshwater that u cna have frogs, sharks differnt kinds of eels and stuff. idk i just like freshwater like the oscar.

  • I love the french, I saw alot of them while I was in Cuba, nice streamer on him to ! looks nice and healthy !

  • Did Boston win?

  • Yes they did! LOL

  • nice aquarium. how do you take care of it?

  • pretty sweet tank...What kind of filtration are you using...im going to be purchasing a 300 gallon tank soon, and setting it up as a reef tank...I have about 4-6 grand i can spend on filtration and lights do you have any recommendations.

  • cool fishes.

  • is that a srilanka star.green cromas?i see a cardnal.nice fox face.i had a huge yello tang but she died of old age.i had her for 3 years.

  • Yellow Tangs usually live for about 6 years, it might of died from something else?

  • everything was added at once, moved from another tank except the French who came a year later and has easily became the boss. I would still like to add a Vlamingi tang and Emperor Angel

  • did you finallay get a emperor angel??? do angel fight eachother???

  • @bulldognz try the achilles tang, they are great!

  • so (roughly) how did you stock this tank from most recently added fish to oldest added fish?

  • If you have plenty of room you could try it.

Most people would prolly say don't do it

  • Nice looking fish. I just ordered a Maculosus Angel and I was thinking of adding a Queen or Passer Angel later on down the road, I know they are agressive but I was going to make sure there was a size difference, what do you think, should I pass on this idea?

  • hey how long have you had your french angel? i also want one too, do you think it will fit in with a emperator angel?also what do you feed him?GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!

  • I have had the french for 2 years. If the sizes are very different you should be fine with the EMP. I feed him a large mix of foods dry, frozen, nori sheets. This could be the year for the CUBS!

  • thanks um also how long did it take for the french to grow into a adult?

  • He was about an inch or two smaller when I got him. Seems to grow real slow in a tank.

  • what are you feeding them.

  • dude do u have a rose anemones in their?

  • Yes, I have 1 Rose anemone. have since added 1 carpet anemone. Which has ate some of my chromis

  • beautiful tank...very awesome!

  • why dun you clip yr seaweed..easier for them

  • He is about 10 - 11 inches mouth to end of tail

  • Yea nad he is the boss and still growing!

  • Nice tank! seeing your angelfish in it makes me realize why people say you need a several hundred gallon aquarium to keep one. He is so huge he almost makes your 300 gallons look small!

  • Thanks. It has been a work in progress.

  • very cool looking tank, love your fish awesome!

  • Thanks. I did not have the time for managing a reef/coral tank so this FOWLR has been much more easy to manage.
