Studying the Chrono Trigger C&D, I would say Squeenix did it so that the DS port wouldn't seem inferior, and thus affect sales. I'd say Squeenix was being pretty selfish, not thinking of the fans and such.

Let's see Squeenix C&D this, and pull off an amazing fighter like this. If that were to happen, oh boy, let's just say it will be another "GoDaddy supports SOPA" thing.

Since the support cards seem to appear at random, it's the ultimate test of skill since you have to spontaneously plan your combos with your given card!

Even if you do know, you have to think of a combo on the fly, as in:

"*pop* Phoenix Wright appears!"

"Oh, it seems my bar is not full enough. I'll have to plan this right..."

After:

"*pop* Gerome appears!"

"Shit! I'm using Cloud, not KOS-MOS! I'll have to make up a new combo, then."

What I'm trying to say is that this game gives you very little pre-planning options. That, in a way, causes you to think of combos WHILE you play. Not set it up in your mind or anything.

Fat chance. The normal attacks + supers can only do so much.

Did you see how powerful that Phoenix Wright combo was?

I'm guessing C assists are mainly for disabling/counters/okizeme/pok­ing, A combos are for table-turning damage, and B combos are a a little bit of both.

Of course, that's just my opinionated observation from looking at all the gameplay videos.

I love BOTH characters though I had my money on Lenneth from the start hehe. This battle was AWESOME from the movesets of both, to the stages to the GREAT music and definitely on par with the Link vs Cloud one. I've seen them all and this and the Link and Cloud battles are the best!

@pkraccoon13 The FAQ's only reference to timeframe is 'please be patient, we are volunteers'. However, it is quite clear from these videos that many characters are complete who were never anticipated to be part of the initial 4.

My guess is that they are tweaking damage and animations with consideration for balance before releasing the demo. Otherwise, the only explanation would be that their resources are not currently focused on prepping a demo, for whatever reason.
