Yes, they do. Garrett is Texas' QB and he performed marvelously and even came close to bringing Texas for an improbable comeback. Alabama's D made the plays at the end. It was a great game but Alabama is still the champion. Too bad somebody has to lose because both are great team. Don't be a sore loser. Bama's defense was always suspect. They proved it when a freshman QB burned the secondary countless times. Sure Garrett got sacked..duh..he's a freshman. But to make the defense look like as bad as they did, thats pretty sad. And Im not the only one who agrees. Go to ESPN and Fox Sports - all of them have said that.

@smilebruce after bamas defense put colt mccoy out of the game, the defese let up with the freshman qb in the game. They prepared for colt mccoy,,and as I said. they let up once they took him out. The tx backup was tuffer than cold mccoy actually,,as I said. I will admit that,,but that doesnt take away from bamas defense,they were number 2 in the nation for a reason. You have no room to talk about bamas defense,,when their running backs ran all over the tx D lol...the whole nation saw that

Bama got lucky my ass. Your freshman QB wouldn't have had no luck without your star reciever. Gilbert gets no credit from my stand point. Shipley put himself in the situation to catch the ball. All Gilbert had to do was just get the ball near him. Shipley deserves the credit for keeping you guys in that game. Not some QB that managed to complete 15/40 and coughed the ball up 5 times. If that is what you are banking your future on then I feel sorry for the direction texas is heading in.

Shipley was and will be a great receiver. Without him there wouldn't have been a close game. If you put Julio Jones in his place the game would not have been that close. If you put Dez Bryant in his place the game would not have been that close. All I see is how great Gilbert was in that game. Every texas fan is riding high on that performance. It wasn't Gilbert that almost won that game. It was Shipley. You a dipshit or blind?

Greg Davis and Mack Brown have plays only designed for shipley and they used them, to get texas back in the game. It is not our fault that Alabama's secondary couldn't cover shipley you dumb fuck. Gilbert, Shipley, Defense, Coaches and Staff had everything to do with us getting back in the game. GB is going to be a great QB, he showed it against a NFL style D!!!!

He nearly leads the Horns to what was an impossible upset. This true freshman led his team to score more points on the 'top' rated bama defense than Timmy Tebow did in the SEC title game. Yes, they do. Garrett is Texas' QB and he performed marvelously and even came close to bringing Texas for an improbable comeback. Alabama's D made the plays at the end. It was a great game but Alabama is still the champion. Too bad somebody has to lose because both are great team. Don't be a sore loser. I'm a Lifetime Texas-Ex Foundation member and that's the way I see it. Congrats to Alabama and enjoy your title.
