For those abusing it for the high then Im glad they made it this way. Its hard enough for those of us who have to take it for pain management purposes to get it just cause addicts are all over these pills. It works just as well for me so I have no issues with this new pill. Gets me outta pain. All i care about.

@veryvillemons My ex cvs pharmacist gave me 180 mg instead of 40. He made a mistake, I ended up in ER after he called to get my stomach pumped but it was too late. Spent night like rat in cage. Contacted lawyer next day and sued and won my case against CVS. So I am a bit against abusing oxy. Also it is the top killer of abusers shaken or stirred. Without it I would no longer be able to travel, like that 6th trip to Italy 3 months from now:)

When I was reading most of the posts, most of the responders had only one thing in mind, and that was a way to get high and stay high or higher by illegally using a prescription medication. If these abusers continue they are leading their lives towards an early death. I have my doubts that jail time would stop their abuse for good. And yes, methadone withdrawals are MUCH worse than oxycontin withdrawals, they are more intense and protracted. I've been through them all. None of it's worth it. If you are on oxycontin or methadone, contact a doctor and get on suboxone, then slowly decrease your dose on that. I've been through it all and suboxone was the easiest to quit. I've been clean for a long time now, and won't go back.
ha ive had it figured out for months. grind down to powder with hose clamp or file onto plate bake in oven on 350 til its golden brown let it sit in the air til it dries or in the frezer then its ready to go. injest nasaly or iv. as long as you do it right it works 100% of the time. tried it with all mg doses but 10mg. Yeah the Drug is called OP. They suck. Not only cant you take off the release coating there weaker overall. Thanks to the FDA and DEA again. I guess non of them experience any real pain, because if they did there votes would be a lot different.
All you have to do if you want to release the oxycodone from the new "op's" all at once is simply dissolve the pill in DIET coke. Stir it up and swallow.
You will get the entire dose of the opiate whatever the milligram may be.
I do not condone drug abuse but I just happen to know this bit of info.
BTW, The old formula generics at Walgreens will not be around much longer, once the supply runs out they will not be able to order any more generics. Purdue is already in litigations with the companies it gave permisssion to distribute there OC's for Royalties to stop distributing the old formula. So dont get too comfy with the generics, they will not be around much longer.
Been there and done that... They dont care... Doctors are not going to prescribe that poison to New PM patients and 90% of CPP will have there meds. switched due to the horrible side effects. Purdue did not consider the Chronic Pain Patients when they came up with this New Formula.. all they cared about was saving there Patent and getting the DEA off there backs.. I had already been switched to a new medication a while ago, I suggest other CPP's do the same thing...

@youbestbequiet Sorry I disagree with you because I am a legit CPP and I have never abused or taken my meds. any way other than the way it was prescribed and I wound up in the ER after taking this new formula. It may be working for you now but give it some time and you will be sick like everybody else from that poison.
@kacmagna It actually does have one side effect I didn't have before. I have noticed it makes me more drowsy. I think it works better for pain now but the being drowsy has to go. I am going to give it one more month and if it doesn't work, I'll just go back to the Duragesic Patch.
@youbestbequiet I switched to methadone & it actually works wonderful for chronic pain, I have not had any side effects what so ever. I was hesitant to try it but I am so glad that I did.

Hey! I am a chronic pain patient & this drugs change was pulled on me & I didn't notice until I woke up sweating & the next day in pain & vomiting. I called Purdue, they reported it for a study. I told them it doesn't metabolize the same & I am in out of control pain, let alone going through withdrawls while trying to resume my busy life. My pain Dr tried to give me 100mg of morphine. I took an instant realease & it made me sick. I am in so much pain again, I dont know what to do!This isn't good

@drl453 those will stay the same for now, but DEA is setting up a quota for how many bottles each Pharmacy can order per month, right now it is 6, so Roxies come in bottles of 100, so that means that each pharmacy will only have 600 per month available, & since alot of doctors are switching to the IR you will have to search around to find a pharmacy that has them in stock. Sneaky bastards got all there bases covered... Ughhhhhhhhhhh

All you have to do if you want to release the oxycodone from the new "op's" all at once is simply dissolve the pill in DIET coke. Stir it up and swallow.
You will get the entire dose of the opiate whatever the milligram may be.
I do not condone drug abuse but I just happen to know this bit of info.
Be careful this drug is dangerous.

BTW, The old formula generics at Walgreens will not be around much longer, once the supply runs out they will not be able to order any more generics. Purdue is already in litigations with the companies it gave permisssion to distribute there OC's for Royalties to stop distributing the old formula. So dont get too comfy with the generics, they will not be around much longer.

Been there and done that... They dont care... Doctors are not going to prescribe that poison to New PM patients and 90% of CPP will have there meds. switched due to the horrible side effects. Purdue did not consider the Chronic Pain Patients when they came up with this New Formula.. all they cared about was saving there Patent and getting the DEA off there backs.. I had already been switched to a new medication a while ago, I suggest other CPP's do the same thing...

@kacmagna It doesn't effect most os us who take it for actual pain control. The only people that seem to be complaining are the addicts and fuck them. This doesn;t bother me at all. Let them do whatever they want to make it harder for drug mills and addicts to get their hands on it. This is better than them trying to ban it and then people like me have to go back on Morphine which really sucks.

@youbestbequiet Sorry I disagree with you because I am a legit CPP and I have never abused or taken my meds. any way other than the way it was prescribed and I wound up in the ER after taking this new formula. It may be working for you now but give it some time and you will be sick like everybody else from that poison.

@kacmagna It actually does have one side effect I didn't have before. I have noticed it makes me more drowsy. I think it works better for pain now but the being drowsy has to go. I am going to give it one more month and if it doesn't work, I'll just go back to the Duragesic Patch.

@youbestbequiet I switched to methadone & it actually works wonderful for chronic pain, I have not had any side effects what so ever. I was hesitant to try it but I am so glad that I did.

Hey! I am a chronic pain patient & this drugs change was pulled on me & I didn't notice until I woke up sweating & the next day in pain & vomiting. I called Purdue, they reported it for a study. I told them it doesn't metabolize the same & I am in out of control pain, let alone going through withdrawls while trying to resume my busy life. My pain Dr tried to give me 100mg of morphine. I took an instant realease & it made me sick. I am in so much pain again, I dont know what to do!This isn't good

@kalzx The old ones are gone. I fill mine at Walgreens and they told me they had to return any unused. The new ones work just as good as the old ones unless you are some junkie, then you are screwed.

I HAVE HAD a bone disorder since birth i had alot of pain relief from oxycontin but the new op really dosent work i never abused used them as directed but the new ones really make me feal sick and really does not work... and anyone who does not battle chronic pain will never understand i hate when i hear poeple on here say its not a big deal it is.

I am in pain again & the new stuff is giving me constant heartburn. It doesnt work or metabolize the same. What are you going to do? @DOYON1979 Canada & Australia will NOT be getting the New OP version due to laws on Carcingens (spell?) So anotherwards you will not get the OP's if you live in either of these countries because they have laws that protect people from "Toxic" substances, like the plastic polymers in the new OP. So you are a "Lucky Duck" you will still get the same ol' version of the OC.. In Canada I believe they are imprinted CDN or something like that..

I was asking them what to take to compensate for the poor metabolism. then I said I will just go to my pain dr. he gave me 100mg morphine, I didn't fillit because the IR version just made me puke,

@drl453 those will stay the same for now, but DEA is setting up a quota for how many bottles each Pharmacy can order per month, right now it is 6, so Roxies come in bottles of 100, so that means that each pharmacy will only have 600 per month available, & since alot of doctors are switching to the IR you will have to search around to find a pharmacy that has them in stock. Sneaky bastards got all there bases covered... Ughhhhhhhhhhh
