My advice to give your goldfish a chance to thrive would be to Google "GAB Goldfish Care Sheet"

It will give you all the info you need about looking after your fish. I understand a lot of retailers don't give you the info you need to help you look after your pet but there are experienced people online who can advise you about things like tank size, water quality & general care.

-Each tank should have a filter system to cope with high Goldfish waste.

-Fancys and Commons (Single tails) CANNOT be kept together.

-New tank can take weeks to set up before fish can be added due to “The Nitrogen Cycle” look it up.

-Weekly water test with a liquid test kit will show toxins in your water and alert you if a water change needed.

did you guys just found this out by watching tv or something??...and to the top, have you ever owned a fish before, i had a couple of fish that would do that, not because of oxigen, because for them its call taking a quick break and mine lived for more then 3 years....i,am a fish expert by now.....or it will happen when you change the water, and dont put the fish in to fast or put in the fishin to fast and not take the chemicals out of the water(now that is dangerous and that can kill the fish.

goldfish have been kept in pots , bowls both glass & plastic for years . This one is just chilling out .Although they seem happier in a tank , I have personally seen goldfish live in large bowls ( cleaned every other day ) for years .

Fancy goldfish like yours can reach 10 inches long (sometimes bigger) and need a lot of room. I hate to say this, but goldfish bowls are literally death traps because the fish don't have enough room to grow and the eventual growth stunting kills them. They are also prone to build ups of a chemical called ammonia that comes from fish wee. This is very toxic and another killer.
