Did you get a dyno yet? Nice car man! I heard bad reviews on the Kinetix manifold like it rusts at the wleds and stuff. have you had any probblems with it? SFR makes a manifold for VQs too you know? Im getting one made for my maxima as we speak.
@ranmas2004 Dyno'ed with 345whp, Zero Issues with my Kinetix and I've had it for 4+ years in the car. SFR does make a GREAT manifold, wasn't made yet during my build and since I don't have any issues no need to swap yet!
@chernmax that was 6PSI not the 8PSI right? You should look into meth injection bet you could get boost up to 8PSI and make at least 40 more SAFE HP. I'm getting a custom turbo built for mine too. Next year installing it as soon as the spring hits and snow is gone. Its almost winter here now and would be a waste since can't use all that power in the snow.
@ranmas2004 It will be easier to find mod parts too and not pay twice as much since a Camaro is way more mod friendly! I'm also in love with the retro look...
@chernmax I agree. Not much support for Maximas or Altimas. Basically have to get parts from 350z and see if they work. That is why I want to move to get a 350z...TONS of aftermarket support for those! Dont have to go around scraping and scavenging and custom making everything. I feel you. A lady that I work with got one of those new Camaros SS....they said it got like 450hp or something....I dont know. Looks nice though!!
Not to my knowledge however that doesn't mean a more powerful turbo and configuration can't be achieved, I would hit up Speed Force Racing (dot) com website and under the contact numbers give Tim (Turbo Tim) a call and ask him. Good luck and also in a 5th gen maxima this kit made 390whp!
@realestniggaout Fun Daily Driver only, a Nissan Maxima could never be a race car. But damn if the dude in the stock 2010 Camaro SS look alittle flustered!!!
I watched your videos a few months back and it was looking sick and your were getting it modded pretty quick, I had figured you'd be the first to turbo, I was looking at SFR for the Altima turbo but I lack funds since im only in college right now, though you should take it to the track or some in car accelerations would be nice!
I'm sure an STI being AWD will take it off the line but the Max will definitely catch it and beat it in the quarter mile. Search Youtube, lots of VID's with boosted Maxes handing STI's there asses... :-)
wow, definitely wat i've being waitin for, too many evo n sti owners bragging! can't wait for maxima's to charge up in hp ! thanx bro, saw some nice vid's
wow....i've been researching but they basically don't make ANY turbo kits for maximas....this has got to be custom....mind if i ask who u went with? turbonetics, hks, greddy????
SpeedForceRacing(dot)com has the new Max Turbo kit, it was originally made fora 2002 Nissan Altima and I was the Nations first to install a kit in a Maxima. Hit up their web site for the 411...
