I wonder where they were going for vacation? The dad said that they would be staying at their vacation spot for two weeks, and it took two days to get there via railroad. Since he mentioned it was summer, it's likely they were going to stay at a beach house.
This episode also reminds me of the Busy World of Richard Scarry episode "Sleeping Car Adventure" (produced by the same company that does Caillou)
@MrRojas6657 Caillou wasn't spoiled by this time. He was more of a "goody goody" by this season of the show (he was more of a spoiled brat in the original episodes when he had the gray shirt)
Caillou takes train trip,the family and Caillou will sleepover. bathroom in the train. kitchen in the room too. A resterant, too.The domcar is where they fly up to the train. He protends to drive a train. Caillou,Roise,Mommy,and Daddy slept in the train.
By this point Caillou became more of a goody-goody and well-behaved (compared to the old episodes!) but he was still somewhat fearful at times. Seemed more realistic this way
