@boscoesarmy I think underneath it all there was a grudging admiration for Brian Lenihan. He was diagnosed with Cancer during the greatest crisis any minister in an Irish government had to deal with. He was handed a poisoned chalice. He was surrounded by a completely incompetent Department of Finance and took their advice. He didn't cut and run and had a good reason to as for a less demanding ministry. He faced the peopele at the election while most of the cabinet ran with their pensions.
