You made another awesome video. I go every year and your videos capture the essence of the airshow. I was still looking at the 2009 until today when I found this one. Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you for putting this video out there, love to see them. Makes the "off season" go faster, 281 days until the next AirVenture officially starts. Why not make this video available on mobile devices?
@wolfala Install VideoTime app and you will be able to play anything from YouTube. I hated that I could not share Slickhutto work as I find he really captures the essence of Airventure. The supplied youtub apps that come with apple products do not support all file types but using VidoTime converts them seamlessly and now I have all his work bookmarked to share with everyone. Thanks Slickhutto, I really appreciate what you are doing for the rest of us.
Very nice job again this year! I don't bother shooting any video at Oshkosh, 'cause I know I can just watch Slick's video a few weeks later. His videos are what i show "newbies" who ask what Oshkosh is like . . .
This is awesome - many of us will have shot video at Airventure 2011, but we can't begin to approach the professionalism of this production. Thank you so much for giving our memories something tangible to show friends and family..
Thanks for taking us with you to Oshkosh again this year Slick. Another amazingvideo that captures the excitement and thrills that make Airventure a true American spectacle.
My dad and I were there too. We drove for two days to get there. I have a PA22 Colt but I couldn't get her annualed in time. Next year, we will be flying in like you and your dad. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Another fantastic job - you continue to capture and present Oshkosh incredibly beautifully - your videos continue to be the definitive YouTube record of Airventure. Thanks for all the hard work you go to to share this.
Absolutely fantastic video. Not only was the cinematography, editing, and sound track awesome. you also captured what it is like to be at OSH. Well done!
You make me awfully wanna join this great event, but being a self-learning student in Hong Kong for AL examination in March - April 2012..... I must hard work on both study and work then.
@Warhawkvj Thanks for watching. I'm not sure I will be doing the Ten Minutes series this year. I'm pretty short on time and very busy with other projects. It takes a large amount of work for each episode due to having to reformat, pre-render, and render each video to make the files small enough for youtube. I will post some raw footage of specific events, but as of now I don't think I will be doing the Ten Minutes videos this year.
@slickhutto You dont have to prerender, if youre using adobe premiere just export the footage to adobe media encoder and save as an h264, very time saving. Wish i could help you out with crunching it. Loved last years series, best thing next to being there.
@Spayne007 Thanks for the info, but I don't have any of the Adobe software. I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 8. If someone has some tips from that please let me know.
Another fatastic year, another airshow, another fantastic video fo Mr. Slickhutto. When a year pass and I can't go, my last hope is that i can count with a video from this gentleman.
Excellent job on the video & still capture and the editing. Also really like your choice of music! I'd love to know what your editing with as I'm trying to get started myself.
@av8en1 Many thanks! One thing I pride myself on is that nothing was a still capture. Only video was shot! I like to use some fancy editing to make it look as though I had shot still and put them in the video.
I'm editing my videos with Sony Vegas Pro 8. I wouldn't suggest it as a starter program unless you don't mind spending a lot of time learning the system!
that was amazing. my father and I usually make the trip down from alberta canada every year but it coincided with a flight to the north so we didnt make it down. great video. so sad i missed what looked like a great week.
Did I sit next to you at the Saturday evening airshow?? From Minnesota, fly a SportCub, talked to you and your dad a bit...I was so impressed with (and thankful for) you and your dad's military service, and this just ads to my admiration! Although I'll admit I almost asked you to sit down while you were shooting...glad I didn't! Thanks for your work - it's awesome. Glad you made it home ok. Jim
Another Great video man! I personally really loved the shot starting at 0:17. Saw the depth of it very well there. Did you shoot in 24f per second, Progressive? One thing though, try adding some shots in there with the sounds of the planes; that's just me though. Overall loved all the shots! Nice job.
@COSProductions04 Many thanks! Nope, everything is shot at 60fps. I've never used 24fps because it's not recommend (with tapes anyway) to change the video format within the same tape. Also, with 60fps I can film the slow motion shots...I just do some fancy editing for the higher contrast film look! Thanks for watching!
WOW, Absolutely amazing. And i missed it again, with such great planes (B29, B787). Making a promise now, i am going next year and already have planned by work vacation.
