Polished metal won't work very well. If you really can't find a small job to fund your scope, then search for thick plate glass and get the grinding materials. You could even use sand, but silicon carbide is not that expensive and much faster. Try to find people who cheaply aluminize mirrors for amateurs (best option) or silver it (careful, this stuff gets explosive). It will be hard to get cheaper than a used scope. But a homemade mirror can become very accurate. And it's cool to make one.
Can I use a prism instead of secondary mirror?Anybody knows?I have 2 prisms with some magnifying power(as much as i have noticed I dont think I will see an ant with it but,,,)but i have NO primary mirror.ParaglidingManiac's question was good.Can I use polished metal? I cant affrod a concave mirror
uhhhh, i don't think you should let it aim at the sun without a filter or lense cap... unless it doesn't have a mirror in it yet then it doesn't really matter.
thats hoooolarious and awsome at the same time, does it work pretty good ?

@darkdyaz2
I have a bunch of prisms , they would work, but you will get bad abberation and diffraction from them and also lose a good percent of light.

That's easy, but how about the primary mirror? Is it possible to use polished metal or something? I mean for a big telescope.
