the only thing i hated from the remake is the fucked up childhood of Micheal, but other then that the remake was a good modern adaptation from the original.
I never hated the remake, sure it wasn't great but the cast made it watchable and the same goes for Rob Zombie's style. It at least looks like a "real" horror film, with some elements of suspense and build up. The remake doesn't live up to the original but is close enough.

It wasn't the worst movie ever made but it lead us hardcore Halloween fans to believe it would be as good if not better then the original considering that it was pretty much the same script with obvious add ons that didn't make sense. On that note I found H2 to be VERY well done. I liked that it took a completely different turn from the original sequel.

I hate people say all remakes suck, i know its their opininon, but if they actually sat down and watched every remake that has been made, they would feel stupid.The fog,friday the 13th and my bloody valentine were okay.
