  • highly recommended info I've been following.. /#!/hayano (ダニエルさん、これはお薦めTwitterです。彼のplixi.com/4775212のGraph updateもお薦めです。) ((Ryugo Hayano=Physics Department Chair, U. Tokyo)) Reality is..many areas in Japan, the radiation levels are natural levels since March11th..I live in Fukuoka Kyushu,it's been(0.034~0.079μSv/h)ドイツのシュミレーションによると先週頃福岡(九州)の放射線上昇の予想でしたが"信頼できる"どの実測データ(大学等)をみても3/11以降ずっと自然放射線レベル(0.034~0.079μSv/h)です^-^♪~海外滞在の方,多くの地域でずっと自然放射線レベルですのでご心配なく!~

  • Level 7 means nothing in the case of Fukushima as most of fallout have gone to the ocean. Also nobody died yet in Fukushima due to radiation damage. Therefore it's so ridiculous to compare Fukushima to Chernobyl.

  • @TofuUnion soudesune!..It's really sad to know that lot's of people picked up false reports and believed them..we have to stick to the firsthand info(data)!!! Internet is useful but we can't reach the personal info(not me,not Daniel Kahl..but usually) so people write false info then they hide their background and never take responsibility for their words...~please "double check" the info with several reliable sources(that can always take responsibility for their info)~..

  • @llsnewzealandcafe I see. But I don't think personal info can always guarantee responsibility for their words. Many people in the media have no responsibility for their words. One thing made me recently angry was that a so called nuclear expert showed up in CNN and said North Japan was finished ! Japan isn't actually finished at all.

  • @TofuUnion Not yet

  • @Jewels2012ascend1111

Agreed.Khal my dad is a nuclear Engineer. If any of the reactors explode they will all be a lost cause. You don't know at all.If these reactors explode no one knows what will happen.on this one screw the numbers,Use your brain the thing you were blessed with. Now when you say "Almost as bad as cherynobl" you are terribly wrong.Imagine Cherynobl x 6.There won't be a Japan if this happens.Besides why trust the Japanese goverment? they've lied the whole time.leave while you can.

  • ..what we have to think is "who understand more(who have more reliable info=firsthand info)..who understand both sides(highly level)..he can choose info by reliable specialists(western&Japanese both sides)+he has reliable Japanese wife(seems knowledgeable enough)="info literacy"..+ I speak Japanese(native)&physics(majored)..so I can choose which info is more reliable..(also..@universities,private sectors,e.t.c..lots of peopele are monitoring in many places so we have enough back up data..)

  • The Health issue is a MAJOR one!! For years to come, globally as well as for those in Japan... The Jetstream, the radiation levels are 300% Higher then the EPA Max in the U.S. of A... So really, lets not minimize it, but see it as it is and do all we can to help those prepare their bodies for the things taking place, so that they have the special needs and tools to help their survival rate. Also the bombardment of earthquakes, and the shelf for which Japan rests is HUGE issue.

  • @Jewels2012Ascend1111 While I respect Dr. Kaku when he is talking about his speciality ("theoretical" physics), and thoroughly enjoy his programs about the vastness of of the universe, and his take on time-travel, etc., he is not an engineer. Nice guy, very well spoken and photogenic, but I'd rather trust the numbers on this one.

  • He's got real knowledge of Japan(based on his brilliant Japanese skills)..I hope confused foreign people in northern Japan can get accurate info from him..(also,he's nation wide famous in Japan..)

  • "Propaganda Buster" and "TheDanielKahl" are recommended channels. "Propaganda Buster" is a writer of the pro-Japanese to live in the United States. Both my best regards.

  • Is just a little bit or radioactive iodine safe for kids to eat?

  • What I found more worrying here is the fact that apparently the government and the power companies are taking a step back from the plans to build new Generation III nuclear plants, and TEPCO is saying that is going to have problems in the summer because they don't want to turn on the rest of their working plants.

This could HIT HARD to Japanese economy and recovery, and also it leaves the country with older, less secure plants, like the ones from Fukushima that are 40 to 30 years old.

  • Anyway, you are a real friend of Japan, “Tomodachi”. As a matter of fact, you are a “Shinyuu” (an absolute true friend). Thank you, thank you, thank you, and stay safe in Japan. You are a great man.

  • Daniel, I am a Japanese citizen living in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I can never thank you enough for going to North-East of Japan and reporting what is really happening there. One thing really annoys me these days on You Tube is that, a crazy French man acting like a drama queen, taking advantage of the situation, only to get attentions to himself from the world.

  • The problem from day one has been the appearance of concealment, if not outright lying by TEPCO and the Japanese government. You can call the Western Press being hysterical all you want, but the fact remains that many of them have been spot on from the beginning, they have maintained that the situation at Fukushima was and is worse than the Japanese government has led on. This is no long a Japanese problem, the fall out effects us all. Outrage is needed here.

  • @trose26 Nope. I work for myself. Always have, always will.

  • @trose26 Are you sponsored by the Anti-nuclear lobby?

  • You're a good man, Daniel. I really really hope you're right about the seriousness of the nuclear situation...

  • @domperrier I hope so too. It's serious. But people around the Plant were evacuated from the initial 20 km exclusion zone in orderly fashion. All have been checked for radiation, none have shown any adverse affects. They are now being relocated to other cities, again in orderly fashion. Some of the world's best minds are working 24/7 to solve problems at the Plant itself. Difficult, but if anyone can solve them, THEY can. IAEA & WHO have both vetted Japan's data & countermeasures. Have courage.

  • @TheDanielKahl You have infinitely more faith & trust in the 'authorities' than I have. I hope they will reward your faith in time.

  • @TheDanielKahl Thank you for your tweets on twitter. EnglishbyJohnny cited the Christian Science Monitor Article on Why Fukushima is not Chernobyl. The article cites Profesor Yoshiaki Oka, of Wasdea University as saying even the NISA estimate of the radiation being 1/10 that of Chernobyl is too HIGH. His estimate is that it is 1/100 that of Chernobyl Are we scaring ourselves to death or paralysis?

  • @starmanskye you sir are an idiot

  • I agree with starmanskye. THE SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN!!! We were lied to from the beginning here!!!

  • @adropofcolor Feel free to present any evidence of concealment or understatement by the Japanese government or Tepco related to any aspect of the earthquake, tsunami, or nuclear problems. Until you do, you're just a hysteric, wailing and waving your arms in panic at phantoms.

  • Great stuff Daniel, keep it coming

  • だるまさんと地球儀の位置が変わるのは余震で転げてるんですか?"ヒステリア"てのがどんなもんなのか、ここのコメント欄で見ることになるとは...。逆にダニエルさんの言葉に説得力がつきます。

  • I have the utmost respect for you, sir!

Naturally I watched your previous video where you detailed your experiences in Tohoku, and I felt incredibly enlightened... as well as in awe of how 東北っぽい you sound when you speak :)

    Mattias

  • 'Keep it in perspective'???? WTF, the goddamn sit is OUT OF CONTROL. They don't know what to do with 4 core meltdowns and what's even worse, at least EIGHT open fuel-pools with severely damaged uranium highly irradiated fuel rods. This sit is actually AT LEAST 4 X Level 7. Maybe 6 X Level 7. 'Hope' is extremely foolish. The mass media has done a horrible job actually informing the public. As well, public & corp. officials have horribly mangled the response, delaying immediate, urgent response.

  • @starmanskye You seem to have information suggesting things are much worse than has been confirmed by the Japanese government, TEPCO, the IAEA, and countless eyewitnesses, like Daniel. I'm especially interested in how you are aware of four core meltdowns, when only three reactors were operating. Would you mind sharing your sources with us? To be as deeply concerned as you are, you must have some really impressive information.
