I'm the leading glass historian/scholar of glass products and glass nature, I can say for certain that this man was NOT working with glass. It is an semi-glass quasi colloid of sand, gravel and limestone, but NOT authentic glass!
@reznor07 he is working glass its borosilicate, i know cause i asked him. I work at the Corning museum but im not an artist. I am a huge fan of glass art and have met a few of my favorites, if you are an expert in the field where can i go to see your work?
Depends on how authentic or historical someone want to be. Sand and Silica are at the origins of glass making. Modern glass making can contain a variety of compounds and different techniques.
now thats a $300 dollar martini glass. lol

@MrEnsignharry this is not borosilicate, this is spruce pine. borosilicate is lampworking glass, that is extremely inefficient to work at a furnace

I was fortunate enough to meet him and see him work,
he is everything they said in this video, and a charming person as well.
he is amazingly talented yet very modest.
a very rare combination...
i'm saving some pieces he made and wanted to throw away.
:-)
