@andersmusician: Maybe that is because the majority of people who are willing to contribute toward educating others tend to be liberal in the first place.
@binboyuk On July 7, 2005, explosions or other incidents were reported at various London Underground stations in central London, specifically Aldgate, Edgware Road, Kings Cross St Pancras, Old Street and Russell Suare tube station. They have been attributed to power surges.
The stations do not share the same line. The incidents led to the immediate evacuation of many stations and apparently now the entire London Underground network and much of the City of London.
The 7 July 2005 London bombings (also called the 7/7 bombings) were a series of coordinated bomb blasts that hit London's public transport system during the morning rush hour. Carried out by British Islamist extremists, the suicide bombings were motivated by Britain's involvement in the Iraq War and other conflicts.
you're right. I'd rather trust some unknown publishing board of Webster's Dictionary and the editors of CNN. I mean, who woudn't trust an anonymous private interest
no matter wat u say, wikipedia is by far the best common daily ressource out there...sure, ur teacher might not accept it as a source, but for anytime ur just looking for info, wikipedia is great...I LOVE WIKIPEDIA! (i edit some myself...i also really like Wikilyric)
I agree...if given a choice between what can be obsolete, misdirected crap that the schools throw at us...I will Wiki it and cross reference...conclusion...allot of school rubbish. IT and History great examples (different topics) Besides I didnt spend 80 bucks on a book where we start at chapter 11
you can say that again! I remember once (in 7th grade) one of my teachers kept saying that the richter scale went all the way up to 10 (but it only goes to 9) -_-'
and another time, in 8th grade this time, one of my teachers said the french language was invented a few centuries ago!
no more hate comments on me? wow u guys were able to google 7-7 and now u are thinking for the first time in your life...
btw. im not an hater of western civilization or england, i just want u to wake up and i ask u to look for the discussion and dont come now with your stupid tv slang "get a life".
they are killin our own people, dont u understand? birtish empire is still alive and its 10 times more facists than germany ever was.
It shows how the article developed in the first 24 hours. (Something that you just can't really see by looking at a text-based history of edits.) As someone who teaches Wikipedia, it's a great illustration to show my students.
It's a three hour workshop for librarians to show them how to both edit Wikipedia properly and how to use it to answer reference questions. I also cover Wikiepdia's history, controversies, and the many different opinions on it's validity and usefulness. Lost of discussion too.
yeah, wikipedia is a good source of information of some things, but when certain interests come into play, it is sometimes biased/ innacurrate beyond belief. for example, just about everything about cuba is pretty biased, and you wont find much good information.
i searched the history on the page, this was not done by one person, i searched the history and counted it up, there were over 432 different people who changed the page in the first 16 hours.
Because it's interesting to see how the world used the forum of wikipedia to work out their feelings and views and accounts of the situation. Not always for the better were their words, but we can say that it was definitely a human outpuring in that timelapse.

only way too ensure you have the information you actually want is too check other sources, not just wikipedia.
however, often ive actually seen peices of information being picked from different websites that they created too put onto wikipedia. hmm

so why would you spend time looking at an encyclepedia
firebert25 5 years ago
My guess would be...set a screencap to take every hour and set it to take the shot of the browser with Wikipedia open...not to hard actually...
