@EvansAutoShop they were banned in late 86 and a few 87 made it out! i know this becuz i have a 87 250r all red with a blue frame. honda tried to make my dad return it for a full refund but he said no. im 40 years old now and still have it.

very nice collection,i luv 3 wheelers,my first was a 125 m honda!..lol...but after riding a 4 wheeler for so long,,,and then getting back on a 350x i completely rebuilt a few years back,,i can see why they outlawed them!!!!..lol..there so much more dangerous

Honda defiantly had the upper hand back in the 80's. I owned a 250R for awhile, great bike, It was the baddest machine at the time. l have switched to Yamaha and Suzuki. Just don't like the offerings from Honda anymore. I have a Banshee and I would love to find a Tri Z like yours.

hey ummm ,, do you hate the rest of us that bad ,, to be putting this on here ??? lol ,, dang ,, i'm gonna find a tecate 3 and a tri z ,, had 2 250r's ,,, i kept a magazine a long time ,showed how to put a 85 yz cyl on a tri z ,,, with the exhaust valve hooked up ,, said it made a world of difference ,,,, i'm glad my 2 boys got to see my 250r's ,,, they were twice as much fun as any 4 wheeler i've had

decals are easy go to ebay them go to sellers,they sell almost every decal for almost any atc.-u can use the additional items at the bottom of the screen highlighted in blue

They offer a bunch of KAWA stickers, but no stickers for 1987 KXT 250 TECATE.

that is the exact collection i plan to have a honda 250r, yamaha tri-z, and a kawasaki tecate all 1986 the newest posible and im gonna get them rebuilt it will probably cost at the most $50 000 to get them all

i believe the Tecate 3 was 86' and 87' for the good years 85' and 86' Honda

and Yamaha is 85' i believe also

the tri Z engine would not hold up under the 4 wheeler chassis so

Yamaha used the detuned RD350

road race engine for the banshee,,,

they also had a BAD ASS RD500....

the tecate will vibrate ur fillings off. parts are hard to come by but its the coolest.

these 2 strokes were meant to be compared without doing anything to them,problem is tri-z had a week motor and did not pull as hard as the 250r or tecate.the new YZ 250 motor would be a different story.Honestly after all these years ,I want a TRI-Z so bad ,had a brand new 88 warrior ,brand new 2001 raptor JUST want a peice of history!

the only reason i have a triz in my collection is that a collection of 3 wheeler 2 stroke racers is not complete without one. last week i had a guy try to sell me a tri-z with a 4 wheeler conversion kit, the kit mounted on the foot peg,rear swingarm area and the front stem are u aware of this kit? any info will help

yes they are ugly as hell.if you want a yamaha 2 stroke ,just get a banshee,I dont like them conversion kits,honda had one for the 200x

yes Ive seen them but couldn't tell you who makes them. They use lt style front plastics if I remember right ive seen these on a honda 250r too. I've heard of kits by a company called astro.
