ahh reading station i remeber i used to go to reading station on a regular basis in the late 1920s early 1930s. sometimes i would go to buy furninture or visit relilatives and on the way home i would buy a packet of cigars and reading my news paper on a bench under the station roof i didnt wait long and it was well worth waiting in the cold for the cofey ride home. i glad i was born in 1914 becase i was old enough to travel on my own and enjoy the golden age of steam

nope they were the most reliablest thing going they were more reliable than the motor car or the plane

the bloke who walks past and shakes the fgw guys hand works at Newbury station; I seen him there.
