of course, we all can OBVIOUSLY tell why they made this spoof. yeah, since Debbie Reynolds (star of "singin in the rain") was the mother of Carrie Fisher (star of "star wars").
If it was a Lucas remaster the scenes would be loaded with useless CGI that sticks out like a child waving his arms in the background for attention, and other useless changes such as Greedo shooting first, fucking Hayden Christiansen's pathetic ass in ROTJ, and changing Boba Fett's voice.
The shots aren't cluttered enough with CGI vomit for it to be a film remastered by Lucas. Just look at how he F'ed up the space port in Episode IV's remaster to see my point.
So sad and so glorious... that remastered scenes like Han vs Greedo with superfluous added blasterfire prompted the creation of this little gem of genius humor!!
This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! Love how it's like a documentary, but NOT! "...by George Lucas himself!" I laugh every single time. The hand lightning! And blaster fire bouncing off the umbrella while at the pole is classic! But the umbrella barrage! OMG! *LMAO!* And Jabba! That's it! I'm done! Hysterical!
The part where he gets the barrage of blaster fire is HILARIOUS! I am a big fan of both the original Singin' in the Rain musical and Star Wars and I thought this was just funny as hell.
well done!
