Portal was linear and quite boring. The gameplay was obvious. the constriction style made problem solving that much more obvious. Super shoes? Bunny hop with godmode. It's an easy puzzle game... and its linear difficulty ramp... Do you know anyone still struggling with Portal? No? Thats my point. Moving on, what if there was an actually puzzling game and then it had portals and you were sitll human? And it actually played as a game rather than a linear, 1 gun mod. Hope... Half Life 2: Episode 3.

@gamerrants They seem to be putting a few interesting titles to the 3DS. Mainly the new kid icarus, and a new mario game. As for the wii, I do agree that conduit sucks and chose a horrible time to release, but maybe they will have some fresh material by E3....

remember goldeneye? starfox 64? fuck... mario 3?? while every other console has at peast had a few legendary games respective to them, the wii has done next to nothing. theyre peddling old party trick remakes of their former success. ironic comparison, but the timline of nintendo matches that of sonic the hedgehog;  incredible for a good while, then pretty good, slowly falling into pathetic.

@rike1175 Valid argument, except for the fact that they weren't discussing the already released titles for the Wii and its past success. They were discussing the Wii's upcoming releases and its future, which seems to be lacking greatly, other than the new Zelda game. I'm not saying the Wii is bad, it has had many excellent titles like SSBB and Super Mario Galaxy. Just pay attention to the video next time.

Personally, I believe that there are good wii games that stand out above the rest. Such as Mario Galaxy, Brawl or Wiiware titles like:The Bit.Trip series.Though I do agree that the motion controls were a half assed gimmick, you must at least give them credit for trying to use their former glory to their advantage by making virtual console, which introduced kids to many classic titles.

@DustInTheWind64 Oh yes definitely, the Wii has brought many merits to gaming there's no doubt about that. But as of right now its apparent that Nintendo has just left it's current consoles high dry. Other than Skyward Sword I'm not sure what we Wii owners should be looking forward to. There was a bit of hype behind the first Conduit but then the second one comes out of no where on a week when 3 other big releases come out and it get's unsurprisingly unnoticed. It's like "are they even serious?"

well spoken. bold stance, but justified aside from the wii owners that otherwise would have never picked up a controller in the first place. the one merit i can gove nintendo is that its done what it always has: get more people to like video games. the undeniable crime is that theyve cast their core fanbase to the wayside years ago. perhaps because they realized they cant compete. theyve now resorted to parlor tricks, smoke and mirrors to get anyone else to purchase.

Oh my god, I don't even want to hear Mortal Kombat. I'm not even allowed to play it, because it got banned here in Australia...damn government treats us like children. Otherwise, yeah, we get some awesome games from people who really know how to innovate or make our day.

However, that wasn't nice to diss Nintendo at the end, but somehow, I feel like they deserve it. It's harsh, but they need to drop this casual crap, and appeal to adults a little more again. And get  MORE GOOD SUPPORT!

Only thing I cant complain about portal 2 is the in-game store, but its ignorable, I just beat single player and co-op and the game is amazing! The storyline was great, the new features added that weren't in the first one was exciting and added to the puzzling chambers, Valve is by far my favorite game company out there!

@spikehamer2 You're wrong about Nintendo. They create the most awesome games, but during the process you get these cheap cash-ins by random companies who shell out shovelware to no end. It is partly Nintendo's fault for not controlling it enough, but it's definitely NOTNintendo that ISN'T making any good games. SMG, LOZ, Metroid, Kirby, MK, SSBB, Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Xenoblade, etc...plus GOOD third-parties like Sega, Capcom, EA, etc. I think Nintendo cares more than the shovelware ppl.

We have Capcom who shelled out Tatsunoko VS Capcom, Monster Hunter Tri; Sega released Conduit, Sonic Colours, House of the Dead, Madworld, Ubisoft had Red Steel 2 and Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands and published No More Heroes 1 and 2. Eurocom created Goldeneye 007. Despite its shortcomings, the Wii delivered some awesome games as well OUTSIDE Nintendo. Look up the big companies, that's what I did.

I also want those big budget titles on the Wii too, but because of the console's limitations compared to the other systems, the other companies cannot deliver as much. I bet they have to compress heaps just to get some of the ports released on it...although some have made workarounds. Anyway, despite all this, Nintendo was never really ahead with big-budgeted titles. It was more "fewer amazing and memorable ones" - since the SNES era I believe.

I know silly, is not that i hate nintendo games, i just hate how they release the 3DS for example and how it feels like at it's 75% completion, lacks of internet, games and im hearing a lot of cases of dead pixels.

nintendo just feels like innovating but not giving what made them good, making the games that makes them great but now it's pretty much hard to see since 3rd companies want to make crappy games for it.

I doubt Nintendo will go back as before

The company has had a very slow run,and this is primarily due to AAA titles being limited on the Wii, with the audience it was aiming for. It had a peak period in 2010, but it slowed down, and why?Probably because the system was outdated from the start, and it doesn't appeal to many AAA budget companies. hey do care though...just not enough I'm afraid...at least they want to fix online

I cannot thank you enough for receiving Portal 2. I've had great fun, played it twice and is about to play co-op as soon as I find someone I can do that with.

I've seen some of the haters and it is surreal. Biting the hand that feeds you weird.
