I have Pseudotumor Cerebri. I have had that for many years now, which has lead me to recently in the last year be diagnosed with PCOS. I get so embarrassed. I have tried many products but my skin is sensitive, so most cause me to breakout. I am still trying to find something that can help me.
Ii am indian so naturally hairy.I started growing facial hair when i was very very young. Now im in my early twenties & rcntly found out tht i hve NCAH whch cause excessive hair growth.My doctor sugsted me sum hormone treatmnt & along with it im going 4 laser.result r amazing. PCOS is another commen reason. but the treatmnt for tht too is same as NCAH. And always use a razer. Waxing does a lot of harm to your skin. Its effect shows after some years.And apply a lot of aloe vera.It does miracles.
@queen999hell thanks for this, I've never heard of that and find it helpful. I think most women have a bit of hair and it needs to be addressed more as it's embarrassing and seen as unfeminine. However, shaving? I think that should be avoided, hair removal creams have shown me the best results. Laser removal would be great but is expensive and in my experience takes a lot more than they think.
My sister did that to her arms and now its like leg hair!! I suggest seeing someone and asking. You could also use either a reasonable priced epilator (50-120$)OR "NoNo" gadget (200$ though) Some creams work. The ones that are used after epilating to stop the hair from growing
i have pcos so i know why i grow minimum hair under my chin, but i wanted to know have you ever heard of someone loosing hair on their private parts as well w/ pcos...?? if so how in the wolrd do that happen...??
I am 23 now and I started getting facial hair on my chin at 19. I am 23 and I now have to pluck very thick black hairs away from my chin with tweezers every few weeks. I find that when new hairs do appear, it's when I'm ovulating or coming near my period. I do not have high androgen levels or PCOS. I have had all the tests done and they all came back normal. It's very distressing for me. I am constantly picking at my chin and I have dark marks all over it. It gets worse with time.
@RainyDayGirlx stop plucking!! it makes it grow back worse and makes more hairs sprout in that area! shavings better, waxing even better than the 2. less stress to the root.
@RainyDayGirlx Find an electrolysis service, for gosh sakes! Many salons offer the service, and there are lots of discreet little "upstairs office" type operations. Taken in short sessions, it's not expensive, and you only need a small area done. The chin isn't the worst place, in terms of discomfort, to need hair removal

Italian women had a lot of facial hair and a lot of kids, I think no one minded such a thing. Of course I love beard, but I don't like women...

@RainyDayGirlx Plucking is the worst thing you could have done. Cause now you have scars. Either shave or wax the facial hair.

@41Vega This isn't about you.

I have a mild case of this due to PCOS but thankfully most of the hair is a light blonde or red color so it's not too noticable.

I have hirsutism and don't know why as I am an American and don't have medical insurance to figure out why.
