  • You complain about these brakes being strong? Well maybe you oughtta use em the right way! You have to apply and hold pressure, and apply more as necessary. not throw it into 4%---the pressure will apply ALL the way. Although I believe the these along w/ NJT MUs are self lapping in real life. Easy fix.

  • @trainzrok Oh I know how to run these. It's just annoying that's all.

  • There is a picture of the Trainz version here protrainz com/cm/albums/passenger/photo10 jpg Too bad it was never released. I have a Silverliner IV beta for Trainz that was available but I think the link is broken now.

  • NEC on Trainz is just Philly to Wilmington. And it's not entirely to scale, it used plain baseboards, not real maps. There are some blank routes of the NEC from NY to Connecticut, NY to Phila and Phila to DC. The DC part is on fishlipsatwork main site fishlips dot net/Trainz. But, the Silverliner II's, they were never released for Trainz because the creator Magicland stopped making Trainz stuff and the co-creator Jaleel disappeared off the face of the earth so we'll never see them in Trainz.

  • @rwk360 Reason #467 why people still play MSTS.

  • HOW DID U DOWNLOAD THIS LOOKS AWESOME TELL ME ILL SUB YOU!

  • @MrHitman0000 The route or the Silverliner cars?

  • @murjax BOTH!

  • @murjax The cars are easy. Just go to trainsim dotcom and search for Silverliner II. I think there are a few packages you'll need to download. The PRR route is a little more complicated. It is also on trainsim but it comes in 8 parts. The installation is unlike any other route too. Too much for me to explain in one comment. Just be sure to read the documentation, because you'll be in trouble if you don't lol.

  • I have the full version but i cant explore anywhere in the Philadelphia area. how did u do that?

  • @howardkevinm You mean you can't start anywhere in Philly right? If so you need to make a custom path in the activity editor.

  • @murjax idk how to do that.

  • @howardkevinm Well it's kinda hard to explain how. The best thing I can tell you right now is to check out the editor and read the help section. I'll try to make a tutorial video soon.

  • can you please tell me where you got the regional rail route from!! does it have the whole route including the NEC

  • Oh yeah and a lot more! The route is the PRR Eastern Region from trainsim dotcom.

  • one tiny minor detail that i easily picked up. the R2 leaves from track 6 not 2. other than that its fantastic. i love the work they did on the entire route im looking forward to getting my copy next week!!!!!!

  • I'm not surprised I got the track wrong. I've never been to Suburban Station. This route is great but I wish they would've made two versions. A modern and a 50s one. This route doesn't look right for modern equipment (especially in New Jersey) and some of the stations are quite unrealistic for the PRR era (e.g. Washington, New Carrollton, BWI, Newark Penn). I know they said it's a fictional representation, and it's still the greatest route ever released. Those are just a few glitches with it.

  • @murjax Those aren't glitches. It's the era they chose to model it in. It took them 6 years to make what you see before you. Can you imagine how much longer it would take to make a modern-day version of the same thing?

  • @trmania I think you misunderstood my statement. I know that's the era they modeled in. They just made some mistakes in modeling that era as they left in modern day stations like BWI Airport and New Carrollton when they merged the NEC V4 to their project.

  • @murjax Ah yes, that's true. I'd forgotten about those. I'm overdue for a drive on the route...

  • @trmania Oh yeah you must explore this route. There was a 4th update released last week that added a new line, the Atlantic City. Also you can now go out west as far as Greensburg, PA.

  • where did you get the septa train?

  • Trainsim. It's a 4 part download that was put up about a year ago. Search for "Silverliner II".

  • ok thanks

  • No problem.

  • Check this out: I used to have the TrainMaster III train simulator years ago on floppy disc (remember that?!!). I had a file of a 3-car P&W Bullet train that I used to run on track files like Philadelphia-Atlantic City, Amtrak Northeast Corridor, Philly-Harrisburg, W. Trenton-Jersey City (RDG-CNJ route)and other places. But the best run I ever had them on was Trenton to Newark on the NEC, hitting a top speed of 112 MPH through Princeton Jct. and covering the 46-mile distance in just 32 minutes.

  • Part 2: That's an average speed of 86 MPH while observing all speed restrictions, and no stops. For equipment that was built in 1931 that's amazing.

  • my prr keeps on crashing is their a fix

  • You most likely installed it wrong. I would recommend deleting it and getting the full version from columbuslocomotiveworks. Theirs doesn't require screwing around with the folders. You just download, run the unzipper, and run the route. Couldn't be simpler.

  • how do you make an path for the route

  • It's pretty easy, you go into activity editor, click new service, click new path, place a start point, and place an end point, save, and go run it.

  • sorry to ask a question but I just got this route...how do you start in suburban station, mine only lets me start in harrisburg or ny

  • You can start anywhere in the route you'd like. You just need to make a path. Go into the activity editor, start a new service, then make a new path. If you have any problems doing that just message me.

  • awesome, this looks great, does it have the R3 by chance?

  • It does.

  • Where did you get this route?

  • Columbuslocomotiveworks dotcom.

  • I didn't find the route on there. It just has locos and cars. Please help. :)

  • You have to register to the forums. After you do you'll see it.

  • Nice vid but Septa doesnt go to NEC...I believe Trenton it the last stop for this train.

  • You're thinking of the R7 Trenton. This is the R2 Newark. It runs down the NEC from Philadelphia through Wilmington to Newark, DE.

  • how do you get all of these trains and routes I only have a few

  • Some from friends, most from one site. Trainsim dotcom.

  • i wish my train simulator would work

  • What's wrong with it?

  • it wont load after it says microsoft train simulator and all that crap. i uninstalled it anjd the installed it again

  • Did it ever work? Maybe there's a corrupt addon keeping it from working. Yes, addons can stay in the game through reinstallation.

  • yeah it worked until i installed a download

  • Get rid of what you downloaded.

  • i would if i knew how to get rid of auto installed downloads

  • I might know how to if I know what it is.

  • ok i looked at the files and they are via rail f40 by gatean belanger go transit f45 go transit bombadier bilevel coach and cab car and the activity canadian nec #1

  • Delete them, and delete any activities, consists, services, and paths used by them.

  • hey i downloaded the Septa set on train sim and i put it into the trainset file but in the electric category of the consist builder it doesnt appear do i have to do something?

  • It's in there under a weird name. You probably overlooked it.

  • o like wats it called? i only downloaded the one like 19 diff set pack

  • In the consist editor it's under the name REB-13-(car number).

  • where did you get this route and where did you get the septa silverliners plus the new cabview because that is a pretty good one I see them everyday because I ride on them and the cab is pretty accurate?

  • dang i wish my prr performed like yours great vid

  • I wish they would do one of the P&W Bullets. Imagine riding a 3- or 4-car train of Bullets on a fast, straight piece of track like the LIRR Main line or Baylon branch at 79 MPH!!! Or even on the Amtrak NEC!! They used the same horn as the SEPTA Budds shown here at the beginning (Westinghouse AA-2).

  • That looks awesome... wish Trainz could start having some good stuff like this.

  • Which is why MSTS is better. If I remember correctly Trainz Amfleets are outdated. MSTS developers usually make sure Amfleets are up to date.

  • Trainz relies on it's users to make custom content, though.

  • So does MSTS. MSTS with all the good addons is nothing like the default.

  • how about those wonderful M8s? Have the bugs been fixed?

  • I'm afraid not. Trainz acted up, as usual and deleted all my stuff. Now, its acting up even more and won't let me upload the M8 file into Trainz.

  • @milky27oreo I'm downloading one right now for Trainz. Search on the Content Manager for NEC and there it is. It's the only one titled that so should be easy to find.

  • thanks! You can request a video from me if you want. Just so I can return the favor

  • Ok. Do you have MSTS or do you live near any good rail lines? I'd like to see something from one of those.

  • I don't have MSTS but I could make a NEC Trainz video

  • Trainz NEC it is. Coming soon. Thanks again for the video

  • I am working one one for Trainz I may make a branch to AC

  • Excellent work!

  • Thanks.
