  • My dad pastored a small church, the Full Gospel Assembly, in Smithboro, Illinois, from 1959-65. Walter Bailes came and sang and preached for us there, a couple of times. I especially remember a couple songs he had written and sang for us: one about "Mr. K and Mr. D" (referring to Mr. Krushev and the Devil), and a song that said "The Moon's no stopping place for me", referring to all the claims that we might someday put a man on the moon.

  • I miss Bro.Walter Bailes ! I use to listen to him every Sunday night on WSM am 650 at 9:30 pm, on his "Jesus Time Network". He sent me a letter and he prayed for me and my kin ! He's up in Glory with the King Of Kings 4-ever !
