If Ossetia wants Russian troops guarding their borders (and is foolish enough to believe Russia will respect their 'sovereignty'), that's their business, not ours.

This deal is a desperate gamble by Russia to try to slow the ever-widening gap with the top NATO countries in naval capability. (And it accords well with France's wish to keep the Russian navy afloat somehow to try to counterweight what they see as American 'hegemony').
However, just like buying more of a house than you can afford just because you got good credit terms, Russia will not be able to afford to either equip or maintain it to a standard to make it worth the investment they put out.

Yes, I agree that Georgia rather foolishly initiated hostilities without realistically assessing their capability against Russian combat troops, but the level of Russian response was unnecessary and alarming. If Ossetia wants Russian troops guarding their borders (and is foolish enough to believe Russia will respect their 'sovereignty'), that's their business, not ours.
And if Georgia wants to become a full member of NATO with a new base right on the border, that's their business, not Russia's.

Well we're pulling out of iraq and have been for over a year. As soon as the iraqis take over security we're out. The war started in afghan, and we need to finish the war in afghan, the neocons stole an election and that's why we went to iraq. The CIA did not test nuclear arms on the natives, they bought their land, relocated them and tested explosives on their land, they were long gone.

No, you see because I do know for sure that the CIA did not test nuclear weapons on natives, they've done some pretty horrible things but test weapons on natives was not one of them, nuclear tests and dump sites in central asia thought, thats a fact. Also the neocons and gwb wanted the war in iraq and used lies to unite some, not all the people in the US. Gitmo was set up by these same people, also some of these people will eventually be sent to trial but they are pretty well politically.

The Cia did nuclear test's on native Americans in the 60's to see how it reacts on people, but you don't hear that in US's ow so free media. I actually didn't knew that Russians did tests in central Asia, i know they did/do them on Novaya Zembla close to the north pole, I'll do some research on that central Asia thing. If not Mccain then it will be somebody else, there's always somene in the western countries who tries to destroy Russia's influence/revival, very many examples of this troughot history, one of them is Britain who put pressure on Sweden to attack Russia so Russia wouldn't take over the Balkans and the ottoman empire (2 or 3 centuries back), same story with the creation of NATO, all those "1st world" countries working together against USSR. Funny thing is, Russia never did anything to deserve it.

Twice? The whole US involvement in world war 1 was minor. World war 2, yes...but the US got a lot out of that war anyway in terms of foreign bases and influence. Most of the equipment was on loan anyway.
