@shattick Hi there, I did use a blender, if you watch carefully, you will see a cotton bud briefly in use now and then, it's just sped up so fast you hardly ever see that or the eraser..that's all I use to blend, a Q-tip cotton bud :) Hope this helps :)

@Ginko26 All I use is a simple cotton ear-bud :) The soft ones, so when you smooth over the darker pencil and into your lighter shades, it blends smoothly and leaves an almost pencil-less look to the drawing. Do a bit of dark shading on a piece of paper, then rub the cotton bud over it and apply the cotton bud to a clean piece of paper, you will see what kind of texture this leaves on the paper and you'll know how much pencil to have on the bud for the right shades. Hope this helps some. Jan :)

lol, hey ;) I always use a blade to sharpen my pencils, not a sharpener, but mostly now I use mechanical pencils that you don't need to sharpen and they're great for small, fine details! I always use 6B pencil for my darkest shading and I apply it very heavily. I use a q-tip earbud to blend, yes :) Thanks for your interest in my art and happy drawing! !

lol yes from looking at my drawings on here, it's hard to see how heavily I have applied the 6B pencil to achieve the darkest look I can get. But on the parts I want to look as black as possible, I shade and then shade again and again. And of course, the drawings come out looking blacker on computer than in reality because there is no light reflecting off the pencil. Thanks for your lovely comments, happy drawing!
