i have been a neon tubebender in california for 25 years now. i assume you are demonstrating the technique for bending a different type of glass than we use. very interesting! single jet fires; are they fueled with natural gas and air like ours?

we use the same glass ( lead and lead free) and pyrex
the single jets run on air-nat gas and O2

They put extra glass on the electrode for a reason! Use it
