That's bullshit, get your facts straight and review your simple minded worldview. Hitchens wrote his book on the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1984 when Turkey, member of NATO after all, was as "western" as it gets. The illegal Turkish invasion and the partition of Cyprus was done in collusion with the American chief diplomat Henry Kissinger - prominently criticised by Hitchens because of this kind of "power politics" that sacrifices countries like Cyprus to imperialists.
