Well, everything is money nowaday. Even if we do want to keep the historic place, if no one come to visit, they are not going to survive. They may just tear down the whole thing and sell the lots and build something else. If that is the case, Astro land in Coney Island would be gone forever.

Coney isnt like it use to be... all the thugs and their families destroyed coney island park... i cannot even take my family to enjoy it anymore... it must be broken down... the developer isnt going to break it down and forget about it... he will rebuilt every inch of coney island park... put luxury condos..housing high skyline hotels...boat docks..and remove all the projects and send them to canarsie like is is already doin.. he is doin the right thing.

yes it is.... i can't even take my family there nomore.. you go there and all you see is thugs with their pants down to their ankels, yellin and rappin and tryin to sell their music, all the rides are dirty.. they charge 50 cents to use the bathroom which has mice and roaches... garbage all over the ground...you tellin me you wanna leave that?? i say break everything down get rid of the thugs and rebuild it to the way it was even more classier..

These are not images of how Coney Island will look. These are images submitted in a public charette held by the Municipal Arts Society of New York. No specific plans have yet been made.
