  • my dad is the same way. he could care less about subjects like art, all he cares about are the core subjects. lol

  • @chikaijeoma - My dad too. smh

  • man that something an african parents would do lol

  • the best

  • she doesn't really do a good nigerian accent. anyway, they only do the southern nigerian accent

  • @farucdagoona she sounds like my aunt who is nigerian

  • @farucdagoona

ummm DUH!!!! She's Yoruba!!! Last time I checked the Yorubas were in the south...so put two and two togther.

  • @ugomma yea,no shit....

oh i'm sorry. guess i was too daft to fathom that concept.. look, don't know what you're getting at but why d'you think i said that? its cos yorubas are mostly who the world knows nigerians to be(if you agree, that is). i mean geez....do i have to spell everything out for you. anyway, it still doesn't change the fact that the accent isn't quite accurate and it IS infact a southern accent. whatever you add to that is just further explanation.

    ....and why the hostility?

  • @farucdagoona

lol, no hostility, I'm glad you and I agree that she is trying to portray a southern accent because that is what she knows (which was that point of my comment). However "accurate" you think the accent is, is your prerogative, but then again I'm Igbo and the accent is similar, so why don't you mimic what the "accurate" Nigerian accent is and enlighten the rest of us. :)

  • @farucdagoona "Yorubas are mostly who the world knows to be Nigerians" ... please quit saying shit that makes no sense. That's the dumbest shit i've ever heard, Nigeria is a diverse country and the Yorubas do NOT own Nigeria, or are the only ethnic group there. We're in Africa, so we adore each other cultures. The world acknowledges Igbos, Hausas, and Yorubas because they are the largest major groups. But mostly Igbos and Yorubas since they're all over the world. Please quit with the bias shit.

  • @MrKratoni 100% agreed!

  • @MrKratoni :Mrs Omokorede is a Yoruba woman hence her spoken english is with yoruba accent. The vid is a general concept of all African parents. Our tongues may differ yet we share same ideas and similar cultures. Does it matter if a yoruba woman stand up for Africa?

  • @omoibile My dear i dey watch Super Bowl now, so make i just tell you that you didn't say that earlier. I'm talking about the part of a Yoruba woman standing up for Africa, you were bringing separation and bias shit up. Your right, but try to be aware that we're all African, and should be represented has one whole.

  • lol.....I'm in stitches! She's so funny.

  • YOU DE JUDGE AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL FUNNY MAN

  • hahahahahahaha I can't get over this video

  • "YOU, JUDGE? AAHAHAHAHAH." best. laugh. ever.

  • Goodness, Gina is funny

  • ROFL XD this laady is FUNNY! XD

  • My mum.

  • lmao nigerian women r sooo funny... ah gotta love em!

  • lololololololololol

  • most nigerians abroad will slap their kids into the middle of next week if they dont take their education seriously ! lol! its part and parcel of our zietgist . we take education very seriously .. that goes for ghanians, and most african countries they encourage and actively make sure their kids are going to school and doing something with their lives. well, most of them do lol!

  • @farabale01 Goodness, yes. I'm from Ghana and my mum and dad are exactly like this, only a quieter kind of aggressive. If you even step wrong, it's over for you XD And I'm going to be a dooooccctor. :P

  • @lifewriterchevelleD let me tell you i dont regret having a similar upbringing too lol! "you are going to go to school , read your book and get a degree , even if it kills me " lol" its funny but our love of education is our saving grace in the european and white countries.. trust me..

  • @farabale01 Yes, I think my upbringing has done wonders for me. I would want the best for my kids, and I can defenitely say they are going to have the same up bringin I had, even if I have to move back to Ghana for them to grow up! lol

  • @lifewriterchevelleD i know people here who make sure there kids speak our languages and know our customs and have respect for home because this is where self awareness meets ambition .. when you are settled on who you are everything else is small potatoes .. we are blessed in that aspect.

  • push her lol

  • lmaooooo too funny!!!

  • TOO FUNNY

  • Why is she (and Lenny Henry) barely known in the USA? I bet the Brits confiscated their passports to keep them from performing here, just to punish us.

So now we're stuck with Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. She makes those guys look boring.

  • @MondoBeno no! hahaha they perform on the comedy circuits in the us all the time , its just you may not have heard of them.. there is also another woman she did a show called "three non blondes" in the uk.. you can check her work on here too she does a mean west indian too lol!

  • Hahahahhaaa.... P... U.. S... H her

  • POOR LITTLE FUMI - WHAT AN AWFUL WOMAN.

  • @Alliworks she is from eastern nigeria but born in the uk.. so she has plenty of material to work with there..

  • "judge you, ahaahahahah"

  • @ENGLANDTHEGREATEST What would Ian Beale have to say about these shenanigans?

  • @ENGLANDTHEGREATEST thats a stupid comment to make considering that this page alone has 549,001 views, lenny is not the funniest but he's not the worst either

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL,!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Dhiis Is My Muumm :L

  • blooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

  • ..why has funmi not be ENTERED or the de 'A'-Level? lol!!!! my mother did the same...lmfao!!!

  • @Standardfrank when i was a young girl my dad was so much worse than that lol! hahaha memories..

  • @farabale01 : Eye Overstand You....Eye Got The Same Thing In Primary & Secondary School...lol! But Mind You....But These Oyibo People Have A Policy Of De-Grading Black Kids Especially Boys...

  • @Standardfrank in the african household the father is still key to countermanding this situation . The man is still head of the home it all begins in the home so no matter whatever is going on out of that situation the child learns from the parent however unfortunately things are not the way they used to be over here and we have many young african girls falling into the Baby mother deadend trap. The lack of male role model in far too many black households isnt helping any one in society.

  • @farabale01 : You Are Correct...And My Father COUNTERMANDED The Situation With Immediate Effect On Several Occasions! My Mother Did Too...She Just Wrapped Up Came Down To The School And Dealt With The Sixth-Form Head Of Year...Who Stubbornly Attempted To Countermand The Decisions Of The Head Master...But Unfortunately...The 'West Indian' Kids Never Had Their Parents Battling For Them...Brilliant Kids Would Be Wasting In The Lower-Class Streams Atrophying Doing 1 +1 =2, Every Day!

  • @farabale01 : Ps. Just Checked Your Channel...It's Closed! What Gives?

  • @Standardfrank the channel is for my own amusement no friends just vids of what i find interesting i got Gamu second audition for the x factor on there now .. she is amazing check her out.

  • @farabale01 : Thanks. Eye'll Have A Look At Gamu Now...

  • @farabale01 : Couldn't Find On Your Site....So Eye YT'bd 'Gamu' And Got This...

    v=DRG7N_koxF0

She Sings With DARK-ENERGY/PURE-ENERGY With No Particle Rifts Of The Sonics...Her Voice Oscillates Back & Forth In A Spiral-Sequence Through Zero & Back....Eye Never Heard That Before...Thanks Very Much For Taking The Time Referencing GAMU. Eye Normally Stay Away From Poncy Cowell...So Eye Was Unaware. Thanks.

  • @Standardfrank tje rumour on the internet now is that she did not make the cut to the final show . people are mad as hell, if you go on her facebook page loads of people are leaving messages saying that if its true they are going to pressure the xfactor producers to do something about it.. simon cowell is yuk but lets face it its either him or some awful outfit that will force her to change and be what she is not, some slutty singer peddling herself for album cover sales.. its been done before.

  • @farabale01 : Thanks. Ju-Politics Of Show Buziness Fronted By Cowell And His Mediocre X-Factor Politic Is Murky As It Is Dirty...With All Kind Of Ritual-Garbage Going On, With His Whore-Vampire Quips...Cowell Is Not Qualified To Judge Her On Many Levels...But Eye Overstand What They Are Doing...Not Last Of Least...It Doesn't Go Down Well With The Aggressive Selling Of Miscegenation On TV With Nearly Every Advertisement...Oh And The Power Of Black Women re Not Part Of Their Sick Equation!

  • @farabale01 : Also Notice How All The Judges Were Mesmerised And In Awe Except For Cowell...Embarrassed... He Had To Press That Buzzer Early Shunting His Psychic Delusions Getting The Better Of Him! Their Is A Huge Battle Going On Behind The Scenes On This Planet And Its Between Blood Root...Any Way Time Is Up For The Crakka-Zoid So Cowell Can Play His Silly Games! In The End It Matters Not!

  • Why dont she do the show anymore ?

  • I love Gina, she's too funny. We goin on a little outin! We goin to give blood! Come!

    LOL

  • what happened to Gina Yashere? she's still doing the same sketches, i mean comeon Gina always does this same voice. even on Mock the Week.

  • i must say... nigerians and my caribbean peoples (my mother is jamaican, my father guyanese) are much the same in character!

  • hilarious posted on idea girl consulting word press.. love it...

  • llmao

  • "get up funmi, we ah leaving dis place" lmao

  • LOL. This is too funny. Totally nigerian parents attitude. My daughter is going to be a doctor, lol. That part reminded me of my dad.

  • This reminds me of my mum, "you're going to become a doctor" no choice whatsoever

  • @Mikestor2 My mom is the same way, except she wants me to be a pharmacist.

  • That's not Jocelyn but Gina Yasere a Nigerian too like Jocelyn.

  • Ah! Nigerian parents! lol and we really just have to sit there quiet when our parents are ranting like that too lol

  • @unoriginallyknown "eh? you are talking i am talking ke? neigbhours come and see oh! my son/daughter is going to kill me oh! eh? e gba mi ke! "hahaha naija .. you dont realise it at the time,, but it is a godsend to have such parents ..

  • ROFLMAO!!! I called my neighbour Fumi because she was studying to become a Doctor and she owns a Nissan Micra... and when I met her mum I thought to myself... 'So... THIS is Mrs Omokorede!!!' But she moved this week because she passed, so Fumi is now a qualified Doctor! XD

  • looooooooool exactly what my mom is life .. lol

  • this remind me of my mom lolz

  • HAHAH keep it up

  • i love her accent

  • I adore her african accent!! I love it!!

  • push har, puush haar!

  • lenry henry shuld trace his roots back 2 africa.... am 100% certain he is from nigeria

  • what comedy show is this from?

  • I have alot of African Born friends who have pushy parents like this. None of them went to medical school though. All that pushiness for nothing. It's funny in a universal way too. there are so many parents of all backgrounds that parent this way for their child's "benefit". It rarely works out.

  • Gina You're amazing!!!

  • Oh My god. This is my mother. xD

  • @animemad0129 My mother too..lolololol

  • And mine -____-.... lmao!!!

  • Mrs. Omokorede is a complete mess

  • OMG, this reminds me of ME! But then i'd do it all over again...... it seemed to yield good results!

  • The part I really like is..You Judge? Huhahahahhahahaha...thats ILL.Yall shud see Mrs Omokorede(omokomorade) in Las Vegas- she totally kills it!!!

  • PUSH HER !

  • this is so true.... all caribbeans and africans who used to be under british rule have mothers like this

  • Under British rule?

  • all countries that used to be part of the british colonial empire
