@SexRobotOfDoom atheism is pretty much anti-christianity. The best way (in my opinion) is to just live life, learn things, and use the old imagination to ponder what could be. I never took a side, they call me an "evologicist".

I follow the beliefs of basic Christianity and in my opinion if everyone did the same the world would be a better place. (Sadly most people dislike the idea of giving up on sin and helping others at their own expense.)

Go right ahead and become a priest, use the symbols of holy water and the cross to banish demons. It's still not "magic". It's the power of God (the one Christians believe in, you don't have to, we respect you nonetheless) it's not your power /the priests' magic.
This song has a happy feeling, and that's why PQ is so fantastic, they make power metal with different kinds of moods. Their Magic album is the happier in my opinion, being Children of the Dream the coolest song

No, claiming your outlook on things is true and diminishing others' worth is how YOU won't go far.
Basically; Christianity doesn't condone magic since black magic causes wrongdoing and white magic leads to vanity and a messianic complex.
The cross is a symbol like you said, as is holy water.
If the two help in ridding a person of a demon possessing them then priests utilize them, for they know it's not their doing, but God's.
Grave difference.
