  • Reading the comments below I am very disappointed by the attitudes of segregating yaselves callin yaself different and not latin. We are one and we have to support each other regardless of what country we are from. We are called Latin because we are a mixture of culture. That's why is called Latin america.

  • @yir22 i agree with you to the maximum. we need to tell people that message. this is not USA where you see that shit of white, black, asian. we are latin american cause of mixture of culture. same with the carribbean. people think that jamaica for example you only see blacks and they are wrong.

  • @donone10 this is a contradiction..you said white black and asian in the USA as if in latin America they dont have that same mix?? latin like i always said is a colonistic term that takes from all the races you mentioned including native and forces that european ideology on all of them..

  • @yir22 exactly. these people are so into preserving their "caribbean" culture that they are segregating themselves from the rest of the country. notice that corn islands and bluefields are some of the poorest parts....WHY, well because the isolate demselves. I don't blame the gov not wanting to help dem, why wud yu help some one dat dont even wnt 2 be part of the country. dey talk bad about panama but realize the panamanians made their music so the other ethnicities in panama can enjoy it too.

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 Bluefields was never fully colonized or utlized by the Spanish. It was part of the Mosquito Gulf coast. This was part of the British sphere of influence. Then Bluefields gained autonomy from Nicaragua hence why they have this Anglo culture. They are not necessarily West Indians.

  • @chsn09 oh i see thanks for the info man we all learn something new. very interesting. nice nice nice

  • @donone10 Also many of the English speaking Nicaraguans have heritage from San Andres Y Providencia islands which are not too far from Nicaragua but they are an "integral" part of the Colombian Republic

  • @chsn09 DAN OOOOOOOOOOOOOOSTOPYOURCOMEDIE.LITTLE.FREN CH.AFROC ENTRI ST

  • @chsn09 PU S YYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AFRO CENTRIST

  • @chsn09 which used to belong to nicaragua... but that's another story

  • @luvrealm LOL. what use to belong to Nicaragua?

  • @chsn09 WHO CARES! guess what? the british are gone and in the year 2010 they are part of a spanish speaking country, im not sayin lose their culture or identity but they should learn how 2 embrace and deal with the others instead of trying to isolate demselves

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 In Nicaragua they maintain the culture because of the way history worked out.

In Panama the Afro Antilleans and their descendants in the transit zone gradually lost their culture and assimilated into the Hispanic mainstream of Panamanian cultural and societal fabric.

The Antillean descent experience in Bocas Del Toro is a different story and they are isolated from the rest of the Panamanian republic compared to other parts hence their unique Antillean customs.

  • @dano122772 LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMME

  • We aren't called White Black or Asian. We are Latin! We all know that the indigenous people were here first and that the spaniards brought slaves to the america and we became mixed. And the same way we were mixed so was the culture, food and music. Im not here to argue but to open your eyes that everyone in the world is mixed ESPECIALLY Latin America including the Caribbean Islands!

  • there's nothing wrong with mixing music , music is the universal language is beautiful in every aspect i respect it and some times evolution is not bad. it happens out here because there is a clash of coultures and history and is great to bring a little bit of the electric guitar(rock) and mixed it with some dancehall or put some french lyrics on top of it. music is an art a form of expression of an artist .we are responsible for keeping ones coulture alive . respect to the nica carib coast...

  • @Frangasounds in the caribbean coast we only relate to Jamaica, Trinidad, Cayman Islands, Belize, and any other English speaking caribbean country. Nobody know shit about this music in PR or Cuba or fucking mexico shit country.

  • @77musica ok if you just relating to those country but the caribbean is much more than just the islands you mention, and reggae music is a gender is known all over the world. including PR, Cuba and Mexico. Bob Marley introduced the sound of Reggae music to the world

  • @Frangasounds and on top of that the only thing that bothers me of spanish dancehall in Panama is that they need to create their own original flow, and not wait for a reggae gold series, strictly the best, riddim driven, of an artist cd to poy the style and flow and slogan. I have heard music from european artist like gentleman, tug-a-war, alborosie, gappy ranks, for example and they have their own thing and they get recognition and respect from the reggae community world wide.

  • i meant to say alot of money.....

  • Nicaraguan have to stop kissing puertorican ass(regeton shit) and start to support our own artists!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what di artist have fi do is dont following this reggeaton bullshit getting pushed and this so called "Latin" marketing gimmick that pushing thats taken west indian styles and throwing a latin stamp on it..that is what panamanian and puerto rican artist are doing.. i would be vex if nico artist was to do that. its disrepectful and not original

  • We are not fake in di Caribbean coast!!!! Pure Dancehall without gimmicks, only original patois because we talk real English creole(patois) unlike Panama or PR.

  • yes man real vybez!!

  • come on man b4 u start saying things i want u 2 take a trip to panama. i cant speak for puerto rican artist cuz i havnt been there

but panamanians arnt gimmics, we have tradition and nothing but love and respect for the jamaican artist

  • I beleive youh have love for jamaican artist but how can you take the music of your ancestors and call it latin on top of that turn around and never once big up dem..everytime i listen to a panama chune dem fi say respeto todo latino el salvador argentina mexico etc.. not to say there isnt ah market for reggea music in those countries but yuh panama style is fi di parkway in brooklyn not the puerto rican parade or cinco de mayo its a gimmick to pull in the latin scene that PR dominates..

  • my friend to sum points u r rite. panamanians obviously arnt gona sell big in da carribean bcuz of language barriers so dey makin money on da latino market. why is it bad to wana make money? n idk wht songs uv listened 2 but i hardly hear a song where a dj shouts out latinos, mayb in a couple songs my principal or japa. we alwais show jamaicans love n trinis, we kno dat witout dem we wud hav no music

  • thats why said there is a market in those countries for english and spanish reggea by all means get money but at want point does it become a lie? yuh right principle does it alot japa i think he thinks he is puerto rican but i hear an old el general chune, oh peter pana always does it and he lives in brooklyn, aldo ranks think he is colombian, even if they dont say it just look at the womwn dancing in the video...what ever happen to that jamaica bajo zero project??

  • honestly ever sense danger man died panama reggae is dying slowly. japa is sellin off no doubt about it, i dont reali understand where dat comment about aldo came from lol....but i c wht u mean. but its alot of social things goin on in panama dat r changin everything includin music ( im tlkin about da tremendous amount of foreigners movin in2 da country)

  • no direspect to panama but its just a fustrating situation when we of west indian decent in central america are a minority and we have se of us claiming to be latin..we have to stay strong because right now this whole latino thing is robbing cultures in ever aspect becuase of the term popularity in the U.S.. we have to represent who we realy are n matter what we speak..Colon,Blufields,Limon,Livingston guate, garifuna belize all me caribeans in central america must unite and keep are roots stong

  • You are right me brotha, come down to Nicaragua.

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 I know man the panamanian dancehall/reggae thing is dying slowly thanks with this bull shit regaeton crap that is also dying. I personally didn't listen to danger man's music most of the artist are selling off and others are doing this romantic style thing in reggaeton. it was great during the 80's-1995 of the spanish reggae/dancehall in Panama in my opinion. and dancehall of mother jamaica its losing its essence.

  • @donone10 i was just thinking the same thing. in panama they are complaining that the artists are selling off. in jamaica they complain that artist arn't deejaying enough or not makin quality tunes. in pr dey complain abt the same thing. i guesss i gotta pullout my old tapes lol

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 exactly! i remember when the JA artist use to write 3 verses (8 bars) and after saying the 3rd verse and saying the chorus they would go back to the first one. and live sound systems like metro media, killamanjaro, jammys, Stur Gav, Scorpio dj's used to spit lyrics for hours: watching Supercat, nicodemus, burro banton, ninjaman, Cutty ranks, Yellowman, red dragon, papa san, etc. and dancehall was nice during that time.

  • @donone10 ima little younger then that so my era was the late 90's early 2000's. everything back then was fun and riddims were riddims not techno loops

  • @77musica i wish Panama could keep on combining patois and spanish in the reggae dancehall like in the old days (70s'80's-90's). now its all that bullshit romantic style reggaeton crap: with the pounda riddim base being used over and over again for every song. I see nicaraguans doing their reggae/dancehall and its great and keeping the essence alive. all central americans of carribbean descent must keep the culture alive: music, food, language cause its foundation.

  • @donone10 There is a reason why these ppl in Nicaragua has maintained their unique culture. The Spanish did not ever colonize this region or fully utilize it. Then this area was utlized by British as part of the Miskito/Mosquito Gulf Coast. Then in 1993 the area of Bluefields etc became autonomous w/ adhesion/subordination to Nicaragua. So they have a long rooted Anglo tradition in Bluefields. These ppl are not necessarily West Indians.

  • @chsn09 chsn did u copy n paste wikipedia lol

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 LMFAOOO no I did not copy and paste wikipedia. I just retain information from what I read. I read a lot you know lmao and I have friends and acquaitances from many parts of the world. You know how I do lls

  • u claim wht panamanians do is a gimmic, may i ask how so?

in sum point in an artists career you are gona hav to commercialize "SUM" bit if u expect success

  • dont get me wrang i listen to PR artist and know about music and how to get in where u fit in but what price should Ah man pay for their true culture to be recgnized putting another cuture stamp on it?? whats latin about dancehall surley not just di spanish language zeen? thats why i love we nico style we true to we roots in di caribe coast y corn island english or spanish its west indian not latin zeen???

  • ur a strong man. no disrespect but i can't stand listenin 2 p.r. music AT ALL lol. n send me sum nico music i am yet 2 hear a song or artist from there

  • NIcaraguan Caribbean coast is purely like Jamaica, English patois, fuck latin culture, fuck it! Fuck Puerto Rico and their gimmicks.

  • I so agree with you

  • i serious. the so called "LATIN" scene has alot of many behind it in the U.S. African rythms and sounds are (congo bomba, reggeaton, jazz) are known as latin, afro-caribbean foods being disguised as spanish food on every street corner in spanish speaking neighborhoods throuhout the U.S. its direpectful to turn on the TV and for their so called hispanic heritage month try to link all spanish speaking countries together using spains culture..whens the last time you seen a show about the GARIFUNA?
