Hi Diemetradon! I've just listened through the whole video and there's no dB clipping, distortion or static. It could be your speakers misbehaving...

Around the 2:10 mark. I thought it was my new sound card (an ASUS Xonar Essence STX) or my headphones (Audio Technica A-900) which aren't rubbish in any way, they were't, I played with all the settings and still hear distortion. May be the low bit rate of the YouTube standard audio...

Likewise, I doubt that either of those would be the source of the issue, Diemetradon. Vika is always kind enough to upload copies of her covers to her website. When this one becomes available, you should grab a copy and see if the 320kbps mp3 alleviates the problem. Alternately, run the track through a DAW like Ableton Live or Cubase and see if there's any clipping. If that doesn't help, buy a proper external audio interface. The Focusrite Saffire Pro is working a treat for me! Good luck friend.

Thanks for the recommendation. I suppose I am still not that much of an audiophile to get some sort of additional external sound processor, however, the sound card I bought is on a similar level, it provides me with unparalleled high quality audio that has given me hours of quality lossless audio listening.
