i noticed that everytime u press "play" on something, it shows a streaming bar..do u have to be connected to the internet to view these things all the time? as far as i understood, u can view the book without being online (right?), but as far as i understood u DO have to be online to view videos and listen to jams, right?

They go over theory, rhythm patterns, and even allow you the luxury of playing over backing tracks. In my opinion it is a good buy, but if you buy it stick with it or you will just be wasting money.
