  • You made it congrats marine April 16th I'm headed to San Diego for basic i also got infantry as my mos maybe I'll see you around

  • where you stationed at?

  • @MegaDuck49 29 Palms

  • @Kuroteren Thanks man, the more info I can get the better!

  • Okay I'll be in the Marines in the next few months..but today I've learned a few new things. 1. Drill instructors lie 2. Boot camp sucks 3. White people CAN make it through. Yeahh. Hoorah

  • @Acyett When I get around to it I'll get another video posted talking about the fleet.

  • @Acyett what do you mean white people can make it through? you think they are weaker? who the fuck do you think the corp is full of today? back in Vietnam? Korea? WW2 WW1? WHITE PEOPLE, You are still the minority So DONT you forget that, Europeans "white people" are natural warriors. If your poolee mouth says something like that in basic you will regret signing that contract...

  • @Acyett hoorah? fuckin boot thats the army

  • ayyy what yo number bitch

  • yea! camp pendleton! haha i live right behind the hills by camp pendleton haha, a couple more years and ill be there!

  • GUARD DUTY!! Good times!

  • so what's his number again:]

  • 3:15 "wtf's that noise back there?!?!?!, oh, my bad... I'll just go back watching the movie.."

  • Comment removed

  • Are you going back? If so will you actually fight??

  • does it cost any money to go to these training camps because mi familia is low on money.

  • @Rava20817 Camp Pendleton is a base. I was stationed there through SOI, LAVTC, and for two months in the fleet.

  • @Rava20817 Dude, THEY pay YOU. Being a Marine is a Job, either full-time Active Duty or part-time Reserves. Just like pretty much anybody else you would work for, they pay you to /train/ for your job before you even get started /doing/ the job.

  • @Rava20817 No it doesnt cost mony the only thing it cost is for you to be United States Marine

  • @brooklynbest123 acually like you said you dont need to pay they pay you in courage and pride

  • @Kuroteen where are you in that video? Are in Iraq or Afghanistan or somewhere else?

  • @Rava20817 Camp Pendleton, CA.

  • Kuroteen but is it defenietly worth it would i change my mind? have you been deployed yet?

  • when do you actually know the MOS your going into before boot or after? Like if i chose 1812 passed the asvab score for it when do i find out if they decided to put me in a diff MOS or got the MOS

  • @badonkulos You sign a contract for the MOS, you get the MOS you sign for. However, that only works for reservists. Active duty, you go into open contracts of the MOS field you want and your specialty is decided during the occupational school.

  • @Kuroteren how do they choose in occupational school? how do they say o your made for infantry or hey you can shoot a tank? haha they don't consider anything for what you talk to the recruiter about?

  • @badonkulos I was 1833 AAV Crewman. Whats going to happen is your going to sign up for a general "1800" field which includes M1A1, AAV. I asked for M1A1 but got AAV. While in bootcamp you have a 4 tier swim qualification. In order to secure AAV you have to pass with at least swim qual 2. Otherwise they will throw you into some other MOS you have no control over. So for 1812 there may be extenuating circumstances as well.

  • @lileichmann o damn what does the swim consist of so i could train i would like to atleast get AAV what kinda jobs did you do?

  • @lileichmann sorry for double post, but was just thinking i saw that i can have glasses if its correctable to 20/20 you know any guys in the unit with glasses? or other units?

  • @badonkulos There are plenty in the unit with glasses, it's no problem at all. Pretty sure all untis allw for glasses.

  • @lileichmann aight man thanks! last question i know repeating but if your allowed to tell me what kinda stuff are done on the tests that i need to atleast qualify for the AAV thanks a bunch tho really appreciate it!

  • No problem stud. Blood test, eye test, background check, body physical (can't have flat feet or curved spine)... they will make you bend over and spread em haha but no insertion don't worry. The swim qualification involves treading water for 1 straight minute, high dive (feet first) with all gear (boots uniform helmet, pack, and faux rifle. You have to rescue a recruit and float him around like you're pulling him to safety. Thats about it really. Swim qual 1 is where it gets stupid hard. Opt out.

  • @badonkulos Why dont you jsut go talk to a recruiter theyll tell you all this

  • @badonkulos me.

  • should i join the marines???

  • @Rava20817 Only you can make that decision. If you do decide to join, it's then a decision you have to make the best of with the good and the bad.

  • whats I T mean?

  • @AmericanGMS Incentive Training. Also know as: useless pt session that does nothing.

  • im goin n the marines n a yr cant wait HOORAH / OORAH

  • hahaha! "oh shit hunded"

  • whats "I T" mean?

  • Ight thanks man

  • Thanks..is it necessary to have a infantry mos to join special forces..do u knw ?

  • @24lynk I can only tell you what I've heard from others, but I've heard a lot of MSOB is actually POGs. However, Recon is still infantry.

  • @Kuroteren MARSOC may get its own MOS and alot of people go from POG to Recon as long as u qualify its not hard as hard as switching any other MOS

  • How hard is the swimming when u cant swim at bootcamp??

  • @24lynk not hard. class 4 is a joke, you mostly just float around.

  • @Kuroteren what do you do in class 2 i cant find info on it anywhere

  • @Kuroteren What kind of shots do they give you in the Marines and do any of them have nasty side effects?

  • @helmet122 just immunizations. the only bad one that I remember is the peanut butter shot, if you're allergic to penicillin you don't get it. Other than that, the rest don't do much.

  • @Kuroteren What about the anthrax shot? Does that hurt? I heard they don't use it anymore but could be wrong. If your allergic to any shots besides the penicillin, you still have to take it? I also heard that all the shots are important and if you don't take certain ones you can easily get sick in bootcamp. Just want to know if it's true.

  • @helmet122 I only got that in the fleet, and no it doesn't hurt. And no you don't have to take them if you're allergic to them, though I doubt you'll be allergic to any other than the penicillin one.

Everyone gets sick in bootcamp, doesn't matter if you have the shots or not.

  • @Kuroteren So if you get sick do they yell at you if you can't perform well? Are there older guys in boot camp or are most guys 18?

  • @helmet122 the majority are about 18-19, but you get older guys too. We had a 28 year-old. If you're sick, all you do is go to medical in the morning, though you need to tell the scribe the night before so he can write it on the board and they can get a sick-call chit for you.

  • so is it true theres like no privacy in bootcamp?

  • @alfredovera0111 Depends on how well you can hide. But for 95%, no, there is no privacy. But you get over the awkwardness fast and stop caring about things like that.

  • @Kuroteren how long is pt in bootcamp? and what is the best and worst part about bootcamp?

  • @alfredovera0111 Pt isn't too long, I think it usually lasts only an hour or so. The best part would probably be the people you meet in the platoon. Worst, dealing with the bullshit.

  • so do recruiters really lie?? haha don't lie lol

  • @UxFxThrash They aren't the most truthful. Some of it is lies, some of it is true, and some is even in between.

  • that looks like rehab!

  • Do you like being an LAV crewman? That's the MOS I was thinking about doing.

  • @TheEdge2471 It's a lot of work when there's work to be done. It's also infantry, so you'll have to deal with the bullshit that comes with that. But otherwise I think it's the best non-recon infantry mos, no hiking.

  • @Kuroteren awe come on, you dont like hiking marine? haha. Thats one of the actual reasons I like infantry. is the hiking. oh well, to each his own.

  • Nice video. what are you guys doing in this video? (the class that is). Im a poolee right now, hopefully ill get 0311 on Oct. 1st. you guys said the PT was a joke, if you dont mind me asking, what was your IST when you shipped out? thanks, and congrats on graduating and stuff.

  • @wilsontc123 That wasn't a class. That was us sitting around in SOI Guard. They put us there because there was a two week difference between our graduation from ITB to when LAV school picked up.

My IST was bad. My run never passed until the one I did at recieving on Black Friday, which was a 12:50.

  • Correction: there is no blue belt in MCRAP!

  • @Kuroteren its MCMAP and yea no blue belt

  • @Fuckrap2 I know that. but it's M-CRAP!

  • what advice would u have for me,i cant swim and im not good with heights..? and im have bad stamina lol

  • @BigosCar510 Don't worry. I'm the same, and I made it fine. Depending on your MOS, you'll probably only need swim qual 4, basic infantry is qual 4. It's a joke, swim twenty-five meters(?, don't remember the width of the pool), jump off a 10-foot dive platform, float for 50m(float for 2 minutes, that's what I did). Heights only is a problem for the rapelling you do in phase 3, and it's not that bad, you tie your harness rope tight: it'll be a thong and your balls will be blue and you can't walk.

  • Glad you made it. Nothing is ever certain. Is the reason that you and your friend had no great problem with PT is that you had been training prior to entry? Second what did you think of the Crucible?

  • @llabathehutt Maybe, but it's also because the pt sessions aren't as much as they are hyped to be. And the crucible was a joke, even though Echo Company had to deal with the worst weather ever for the crucible in the past 3 years. Flash floods caused us to not do the reaper, so I only got to see that yesterday when I drove up it here in LAVTC.

  • Congrats kuro
