They rebooted them! I had that same exact set growing up, but Prince Adam's hair and the Beast hood had synthetic hair. And there was no try me on mine. Should still have them in my mom's attic somewhere :/

I had a belle doll. for some reason i tried making eyeshadow for her using nail polish...that didn't work....so I used nail polish remover, turns out that took off the paint on her eyes, so she didn't have eyes. I thought she'd kill me in the middle of the night for revenge XD aahhhh nostalgia.

had the first prince/beast doll that came out shortly after the movie...he had rooted hair and the beast costume was fuzzy....don't know about the plastic beast costume, but the sculpting for both Beast and Prince look a LOT better

Actually when you press her rose necklace the roses on her dress dissappears into the dress and when done singing they come out again. Very good detail :D

This concept isn t new at all.

I have both dolls but older versions of it in my collection.

I have to say that the newer version is a must have.

I am not so happy of what they have done with the new Belle(green eyes, original Belle has brown eyes,not whole dress but plastic chest topp and dress) but the prince is one of the most handsome prince there is.

Here in Europe we can only buy both in one box but its worth it to buy it even with for me the less interesting Belle.

I've seen the commercial for these dolls today. Apparently, when you press Belle's Try Me button her bodice glows and the flowers on her skirt open and close like real flowers.

They are definetly a collectors item (specially since the dvd/blu-ray is available for a limited time only, and they are indeed cheaper than to buy a porcelain sculpture from the film). I just love how nowadays toys are alot more refined than they used to be in the past. Last summer I found some of my old Aladdin actionfigures that I got when I was like five....I was like...wow....they are so 90s.

If you could acctually find a snow white doll that doesn't look mutated, that would be awesome. I never have and snow whites my favorite. She's always over looked cause she has short hair. Girls like barbies that they can brush their hair, so Snow gets ignored. I swear though, every Snow I've seen looks horrific!

@DJCoulz I've got a pretty cool one. I got it when i was 5: I'ts the doll with an Xtra nice dress with a Xtra laire that has little paterns on it. On that Xtra laire there r little loops that you can hang bangles on what you get with the doll. (little birds, cristals, etc...even a dworf! lol). But also you can take them of and hang them on a bracelet chain that you also get with it! I'ts absolutely beautyfull ^^

Ehh, I'd give it a fail just cause they're marketing these YEARS AFTER the movie came out.BTW from what I remember Beast was Blonde after he transformed.

I don't think many kids recognize these characters anymore(least ones I know)

I like the "dead" dolls better.AKA Monsters High dolls.

That's actually pretty amazing, considering also that most of the time, they never seem interested in making the Prince from that particular movie. My biggest complaint is just that his hair isn't the length it was. It would seem to at least appear that it's been hacked off in favor of a "more manly" appearance.
