  • john, i live near los angeles california. you are talking about growing vegetables that are suited for your climate. what vegetables would you suggest for 90745? OR what is the name of your other video that you talk about this? thanks for your videos. are beds are maybe 2 days away from being done (you inspired us to grow our own) we took it on as a family project. now my brothers are all making making room for vegetable gardens.

  • nice tour. thanks.

  • Did you get to go by The Kampong? It is really cool and nearby in Coconut Grove. It features rare tropical fruits along with other rare tropicals. Fruit and Spice park is a must see as well.

  • fairchild is beautiful, went there for the International Bamboo festival/convention in 2003, wonderful time !

  • john if i already have a pretty big raspberry bush and it has been growing for couple years in fairly poor soil, how can i make it better? would i have to unroot everything and put better soil or whatever? kind of a newbie to that helpp? :)) lol

  • you can take runners and plant them in a new bed, and have two beds of raspberries.. (if you have lots of room). In the new bed, put all the nutrients. That being said, all is NOT lost for your old bed. Dont pull them up. All you need to do is to add either: rock dust minerals (azomite or gaia green) or ocean grown solution (properly diluted) to get some micro minerals back into the soil. I would also enrich with organic compost and worm castings.

  • @growingyourgreens when you say add all the rock dust and compost you mean in a 2nd bed i would make with runners or just pore the rock dust and compost on top of the old dirt of the first bed? lol, and whenn you say runners how do i spot those? just new sprouts coming out of the ground? that what ya call runners? thx! dude! love your vids :D

  • The Duran is an interesting fruit - to some people it smells really good and to other it smells like poop. However, those who dislike the smell initially will grow to like the smell if they have a constant exposure.
