  • This aint Motown praises go out to Golden World and the Ric Tic label for this one Anoraks respect Thankyou. Jok

  • Well Ian....Now you've got me going. Edwin Starr and I were dear friends. I am godfather to his son. I was engineer on most of his Ric Tic records during my stay at Golden World. I love what you're doing - keeping the sound alive. I like the re-cut of "I Have Faith In You" but I miss Johnny Griffith's piano in the beginning. Cheers....John Rhys

  • Thanks Ian for posting this all time classic. What more can words say. Why did Edwin have to be taken too soon. My heart aches when i think we will no longer see his great smiling face. Last saw him outside the palace in Blackpool, your home town back in the 90s.... RIP MY MAIN MAN.... Steve.

  • Charles Edwin Hatcher 21/01 1944.

I had the privilege of meeting Edwin and seeing him in quite a few concerts and I 'm not alone in saying this as everyone who has had CONTACT with him would agree that he was an absolute gentleman with a heart of gold. He would always be found mingling with his fans at concerts and would take the time to stand and chat away with them.

Since his death he has been greatly missed and the world has lost a special STARR. REST IN PEACE EDWIN

  • Great record Ian,one of his best. No-one could beat Agent 00 Soul for a live performance. Well done on "Where is the Sound", got Edwin to sing it at Bistro French, Preston. For me a definate Motown Anthem! Any chance you may have a live version of 24hrs To Find My Baby, my all time favourite? You have come a long way since The Lemon Tree, all flats now!!!

  • Absolute class, really miss you.
