The whole problem with this thing is it's size...It needs to be bigger...there is other Akira bike building projects going on aswell and they are all making the same mistake of making it the size it looks to be. It needs to be two three feet longer at LEAST. A full design team and claymodelors and everything are needed to produce a prototype. One man and no money can produce a machine.

@Lostfaith1980 Right there with you brother. Wonder what kind of power plant it has. Video sounds kind of weak. If I had the money and the people to build one I'd try to mount a 750 Maxim or even better, a 900 Eli motor in it. You'd need something with some power to lug all that weight around, but not so big that it wouldn't look right.

@phongbong There is an electric bike called the Stingray that looks VERY close to Kaneda's bike. It goes about 95mph and gets about 112 miles to a charge.
