  • @YardyBri, a problem with you unbelievers who do not know God's Word is that you don't know who are Christ's brethren & who aren't (Amy isn't!). [Luke8:21, John14:21-24, 1John3:4,8] Amy has made herself God's enemy [James4:4] enroute to hell [Heb10:26-27, 1Cor6:9] as she promulgates false theology, which you clearly have swallowed as you contradict God [Heb6:4-6; 1John5:16; John12:40; 2Thes2:11-12, Rom1:28, 11:8; Rev2:21] Did God love the people of Sodom, or of Noah's day, or Judas & Herodias?

  • As the putrid stench of their disobedient, on-going adultery rises to the throne of God, Dim Tim & Karen Ann scream “But, we’re married!”

    God declares, “No! You’re not!” [Mark10:12, 1Cor7:10-11, Rom7:3, Luke16:18]

DT & KA shout, “The world agrees with us!”

But God says, “Children of disobedience who embrace the world make themselves My enemies.” [James4:4, 1John3:4,8]

KA/DT responds, “But, you are the god of FORGIVENESS!”

God: “There is NO redemption without repentance!” [Heb10:26-27, Matt7:23]

  • @ForgivenbyGrace84, what's truly sad is the harm done to marriages, to families, to children by lustful disobedience of God! Such unrepentant adulteress enemies of God as Amy [James4:4] who use their celebrity to purvey false theology & to lead "little ones" into sin, are so offensive to God that He promises them punishment worse than a millstone round the neck in the deepest part of the sea [Luke17:1-2]. Such children of disobedience as Amy [1John3:4,8] are promised His wrath [Eph5:6, Matt7:23]

  • @yeeeaaawhooo Oh believe me I am truly disgusted over anyone who would twist the Word of God or lead others astray. I can tell that she is not someone who is truly sold out or surrenderd to God, it is sad that some ppl might think, that it is okay to stay in a sinful state &think that God will just overlook it if we cry out to Him. But the truth of the matter is that crying out alone will not get u 2 heaven it's repenting and totally turning from sin. I know Amy Grant is a bad example, sad.

  • @ToddOwenbyCCG, this song is like a Rorschach test that separates Christians from non-Christians, also distinguishing mature Christians who know God's Word from baby Christians (and non-Christians) who do not know God's Word.

The false claims of this unrepentantly immoral adulteress contradict God's Word [Rev19:6, 1Thes5:16, Phil4:4]

Don't receive false theology from this unrepentant adulteress enemy of God [James4:4] who is on her way to hell [1Cor6:9, Heb10:26-27].

    Heed God's Word, instead!

  • yo, bubblehead, you need to ask yourself why God so hates the actions of unrepentant adulteresses like Amy who use their celebrity to lead "little ones" into sin that He promises eternal punishment worse than a millstone round the neck in the deepest part of the sea [Luke17:1-2]. He says such unrepentant adulteresses embracing the world make themselves His enemies [James4:4], & go to hell [Heb10:26-27, 1Cor6:9] to suffer His wrath for all children of disobedience [1John3:4,8; Eph5:6, Matt7:23].

  • Is it the law that puts criminals to death? No, its their crimes. Can you say law is evil and vicious because it punishes people who have committed crimes?

It is not God who brings misery and death to us. It's our sins.

So why do innocent people die? Because death was brought to earth ever since the first man has sinned. One man's sin brings death to all of us.

And for the same reason, one sacrifice brings eternal life to all of us who believes in Him.

God does not like misery. Read John 3:16.

  • @timwhippo I don't like to be called a hypocrite, but I know you didn't mean it. I was not trying to cast out any mote out of anybody's eye, I was offering my opinion. I was not calling Amy Grant a hypocrite either, I'm sorry if you got that from my comment, I was only saying what I believe the songwriter meant. If you disagree, tell me why so I perhaps can learn from you.

  • @salaino1452 I agree with you I dislike this song and always will. I am more of a newsboys fan but I will listen to any Christian song expect this one.

  • A song that admits that God gets pleasure from human misery is interesting indeed.

    At last Christians admit it.

God has to allow war to have communion with humanity?

  • @SamWiseGingy no war and all evils of the world are result of original sin He doesnt revel in them or enjoy seeing our pain...think of it as a parent sometimes you watch ur children make mistakes but u take the decision to let them learn from it

  • @aqu1r3

No war is not the result of the misbehavior of two naked teenagers in the Garden of Eden. Your explanation of war implies that it necessary to the human condition.

Your explanation of war based on mythology and irrationality goes a long to explain why have so much war in human history. Religion/faith doesn't stop wars, but it may likely cause them.

  • @SamWiseGingy i never said it stopped war i wld be as stupid as u clearly think i am to believe that war isnt necessary to the human condition but it is the human condition irrational as it may seem some ppl feel the need to prove to the rest of the world that they have huge balls regardless of how many peopl happen to die needlessly in the process it isnt right and it isnt fair but neither is poverty natural disasters peodophilia or serial killing i dont condone it and sadly i cant stop it :(

  • @SamWiseGingy Why do you keep using the word "allow"?

God gives us all the freedom to choose.

The war going on comes from some human who thought that it would be the only way that peace would be gained. Once that decision was taken, God had nothing to do with it. The place then belonged to the devil who feeds on war that causes so many deaths.

A decision taken WITH God will always bring peace.

Read Isaiah 48:18, Psalm 29:11, and Matthew 5:9.

  • @MzPapi4Ever

So who allowed the earth quake in Japan?

    What sin causes earth quakes.

  • @Momthing2010

    I haven't bashed anyone.

You just can't explain how your creator god allows such human misery, so you have to imply that your god actually likes misery.

    So be it.

  • @SamWiseGingy

God needs no one to really explain how he does his work and why. he chooses to do so with certain people. in the Bible it says we wil endure test and trials. the reason why he allows this is to strenthn our characters and strenthn our trust in him :) it's something you learn personally :D

  • @login3132 So we human misery because it is useful to God. There you said it. But would mean God is a vicious monster. You can't look at the earth quake in Japan and all of the misery and tell me a loving god did that. If you can you are irrational.

  • @SamWiseGingy Who knows why the tsunami happened? What was God's plan, only He knows. We cant even understand His complexity & how He works, & yet we dont deserve an explanation. I do believe however natural disasters can be a 'wakeup call' for the world, to quickly receive salvation for incase we might die suddenly. It can also be discipline for us. When you did something bad, your parents should discipline you. Not out of hate but love so you will learn from your mistakes. God is the same.

  • @xTHiNkPiNk

You are irrational. Your faith explains nothing. All you have is terror of your god who acts capriciously if he acts at all.

Your superstitions will receive no quarter in my mind. The dreadful part is that those superstitions have found quarter in your mind and the mind of billions of humans all these years.

  • @xTHiNkPiNk

Besides that you still didn't answer the question. Was your god pleased by the cries of misery from those suffering because of the earth quake and tsunami in Japan or not? According to this song your god would have heard a symphony. Do you agree with that thought. If you do then your god is a monster. If you don't then why do you believe in your god?

  • @MzPapi4Ever right on! truth

  • HMMMMM...I didn't realize Amy didn't write this song... Just comes to show there are a lot of people behind the scenes who are incredibly talented but are often times "forgotten" !! I'm a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/arranger and can REALLY appreciate the simplicity but impact of the lyrics/music of this song!! Amy has done a FINE job singing it too! Luc

  • Thank you Amy! :)

  • I LOVE AMY!!! ROCK ON WOMAN!! What a gift you have shared with us in recording this song!! My favorite on the album!! God bless you!! You are a REAL CHRISTIAN!!

  • i LOVE YOUR MUSIC, YOU ARE VERY TALENTED.

  • Amy Grant can open the Door that Allows us to Feel the Love of God and His Son, Yeshua. This song gives us the Honest Truth... The True Christian is not within the walls of a mankind church. Amy Grant has gotten me through some very tragic times in dealing with my Christianity and Standing against organized religion to stay True to The God of Heaven. It will be a Pleasure to meet her at the Main Gate at a Later Date. Would Vince Gill please post a video of the song "One"...?
