  • Thank you for the great tip guys, i never done it before and was going to start today, but might wait til im closer to summer, im an ectomorph so hard to build muscle any way, cant see my abs unless i tense, i have belly fat :(

  • Tip for endomorphs (fat people) : eat healthy food, stay away from fats .... thats it. And only AFTER you loose your fat and become skinny, go to the gym.

  • Oh hello! Have you heard the talk about - fast abs magic (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my father got hot Six pack abs and lost a truck load of of fat with it.

  • Guys with a high body fat percentage, don't worry about low-carbing it. You have plenty of energy from your fat, so your muscle will not be affected.

  • @Inspiration525 OF COURSE! Fiberous and simple carbs are in fruit. Veg is better because they don't contain the sugars (simple carbs) that fruits do....

  • Question: I am going to be using a high carb protein, Synth-6. I know I know I had to try it out though. So because that contains alot of carbs will I start gaining weight from it? I would only be using this on my workout days and be taking it somewhere between 2pm to 5pmish. I workout after work about 5pm till 7pm. Synth-6 wrote me a reply to a message a had on FB "Carbs will not make you fat unless you do not properly burn them off " so how do I burn them off?

  • @Owlhousespecial yes, its the same proccess losing weight and gaining weight is very simple. just think of it as a pair of scales. one side = lose weight the other = gain weight....which ever side you tip the scales will result in your goals ie if you eat too much! the scale is gna tip towards gain weight....but its depriving your body of carbs(calories) like the guys say that is gna make your body lose weight.

  • Is it bad to have carbs before bed? I mean i try to have a meal 2hrs before bed, do you reckon just stay away from carbs and just eat lean meat for the protein or drink milk?

  • but what if i workout every day of the week im a gym rat and am prety strong im but im working on my abs now i now u cant target one spot where u want to loose weight at but i need a good abe workout i do 500 crunches every day i have a high and low day on bench press back and forth from 155 1 day to 200 the next and do pushups 200 a day and dumbell curls and dumbell flys and run 2 miles every day im strong i feel for my age at 15 but there is still a little belly fat so i can c my 8 pack

    im cutting weight for mma. im walk around 79-80k i wanna cut to 70 maybe more ;) the one thing i dont think u mentioned was the whey protein im also suppose to take twice a day. please let me know what you think. thanks

  • What I do is eat about 50 carbs for 2 or 3 days.then eat 150 carbs or so.for a day or 2.its been working for me

  • As a person who used Atkins, I reached plateaus. I lost well over 100 lbs on Atkins. However, I was looking for a better maintenance program. I believe carb cycling is really good for building muscle and losing weight. If you want to strip off weight real quick, then Atkins. Otherwise, to lose/maintain and build, use carb cycling.

  • Damn, I've noticed I've been a whole lot more tired as of late and I guess it's because I'm losing a lot of Glylocen. I normally only eat maybe about 100g. of Crabs. a day.

  • Wouldn't it be better to eat more carbs the day before a workout? I workout early in the morning so I don't know if eating more carbs on workout days will benefit me. Also, on the days you eat more carbs do you also increase your cal intake?

  • instead of carb cycling. Will I still drop bf using a 50/40/20 ratio of P/C/F and only eating 160 g carbs though.

  • These guys know what they are talking about. I cut back to much on my carbs and was working out like crazy and ended up in the hospital. I was on atkins and was doing it all wrong. So kudos to you guys , you know your stuff. keep those good tips coming.

  • @ladyjedi use john berardi's nutrient timing system found on his website. eat the majority of your carbs around your workout in a protein/carb meal (2-4 meals total, with <5g fat) and the rest of the day, consume protein/fat meals. As far as calories and macros go, you can look on berardi's site (a wealth of information), or watch will brink's "figuring macronutrients the easy way" video on youtube.

  • very true, but when cutting complex carbs and if your having low carbs with fibrous, you need to add good fats to replace those carbs and then its muscle sparing. Im on low carb keto at the moment and doing really well while cutting fat.

  • as long as the protein intake is there the body has no reason to break down muscle tissue, so you can lose fat without losing muscle. You do on the other hand need carbs to gain size
