It's been a while but I'll try to recall correctly. I'm the guy that 'shows up twice' with what looks like a bald spot but wasn't actually there (yet). It isn't mentioned but Tom Hermann was on the other guitar. This was one night in a four night escapade (a derivative version of Disastodrome) featuring: night 1, poetry and David Thomas essay on the history of recorded sound; night 2, David Thomas and 2 Pale Boys; nights 3 & 4, Pere Ubu. I drove 1200 miles to attend and it was well worth it.
so sad that per ubu stopped being a group of individuals and became a vehicle for an individual......and not many people seem to notice or care.......despite that fact the music remains, often, compelling.
Wow, I was there that night and I'm pretty sure you got some of my body and shoulder in there somewhere, as I was right around the general area of in front of you, looking at the band from the same angle.
It was a special night, as Wayne Kramer was sitting in for just that performance - he never actually toured with the band. But he counts as an official member of the group, on their webpage, for just the one night.
it's not Zorn.promise.
