  • they had an akita but they wanted a big dog that was also a protector? how stupid do they know they sound?? akitas are big dogs the same size as a rottweiler and just as strong as one full of muscle they are and are watch dogs...soo whaa?? did anyone else get that?

  • rottweilers!!!

  • Lovely Vid , Paul.

  • i think that's digusting. Dressing up a dog. I think it humiliates them.

  • @juska256 Oh shut it dogs dont think like humans do and dont we dress up!? Ya my thought exactly!

  • @ya11and11what

    4 months late XD

  • hey 55 secs into the movie what was that call that the dog was useing to pull the kids along

  • You

     luky pussy

  • nice theory, but a bit sad that only comfort patients get isnt from their family.

  • That's the whole point. We domesticated dogs. Nature did not intend dogs to be domesticated, and neither did they evolve to act as surrogate cart pullers. If you wanna keep a dog... fine. Just don't make it do stupid shit that you could easily do with some machine substitute. No one likes doing hard work, and it's stupid to make dogs to the same kind of work that a machine does. Let the dog eat and sleep to its heart's desire, and if u want the work done so bad... do it urself.

  • You are really damaging your own argument b/c you are humanizing the dog, that is, you are guessing at what the dogs' feel. Dogs need to feel important and dogs DID evolve to do work b/c that essentially made their personality. If not, then all dogs would be the same. Dogs that were bred to guard are aggressive. Terriers are loud, tough, and scrappy b/c they were BRED to hunt vermin, rodents, etc. Despite what you think, dogs need a purpose in their lives and not just be lazy mutts.

  • and speaking of bonding, how bout laze around watching tv while ur dog eats out the palm of your hand? i call that quality time. or just play catch with it. or just sit down and pat the hell out of it. all activities that dont require ur poor lil dog to strain itself and yet there's bonding.

  • What does that do for people with active lives? What about farmers who may need a dog that has a GREAT deal of stamina and WANTS to work, pulling, herding, etc.? You're making the dog feel important by bringing him in every aspect of your life, not just for him to be a couch potato. It's unfair that some people enjoy making their pets obese just b/c THEY themselves find comfort in food. Dogs are like kids, they grow up and those instincts kick in and you need to do something about it.

  • How do you even think dogs have their personality and character? Instinctively, all dogs will display what they were bred to do. Sighthounds will chase. Dobermans will guard NATURALLY. There's no point in having dogs if they were lazy mutts. That's what cats are for. Dogs are social and depend on humans. The work is about BONDING, working together with its master, being needed. You'll do better by accepting a dog as a dog and not as some helpless creature.

  • You're missing the point. There are MACHINES that can do the work that these dogs are doing. I'm not arguing against guard dogs cause they arent pulling or carrying anything. Guard dogs will guard, fine. But why make a dog pull something when there's a mechanical contraption out there that would do the same work. Like snowmobiles instead of dog sledges. I find it repulsive that dogs are being made to this kind of work in this modern day and age.

  • Well, that's why they use BIG dogs to do that. They have pulling contests, tracking, herding, agility, all these forms of contests for dogs. Pulling is easy 4 big dogs. What about farm dogs that can die from a bull kick? You didn't think about that one. What about guard dogs that RISK their lives, take bullets to save humans? One was shot 5 times before he died. What about the Rottweiler who saves lives by going in the 9/11 area, one knocked a person over to take a hit from falling rubble.

  • Yes there are machines, but it is not like they are moving buildings. They moving little stuff. Imagine yourself a dog. Your master is doing work, not paying any attention to you but you follow him, getting in the way. It's like a kid hinting he wants to be with you so you give him something to do like pulling and he's happy. You should be more upset about dogmen ruining the lives of innocent dogs, but then again, I don't know what your stance on pitbulls among other dogs use for fighting.

  • Lastly, in pulling contests, I've seen an American Bulldog pull 20-2100 lbs. Now the average work that farm dogs have to pull is WAY less than that. You are lacking in knowledge of the strength of dogs. Are you against sled dogs that HELP Siberians and inuits travel long distance? Are you against sled racing? You look at sled dogs' history, their natural instinct IS to pull so why can't other breeds pull? Petting a dog all dog is meaningless if he did nothing. Dog don't want pampering.

  • You still don't get it. ALL OF THOSE THINGS YOU MENTIONED DON'T NEED TO BE DONE BY DOGS! We've got machines! You talk about inuits pulling sleds. Fuck the inuits. If they're too cheap to buy snow mobiles, then they've got no business living out in the snow. Guard dogs taking bullets... you got guard dogs taking bullets. they're called bodyguards. and they're not dogs! the nerve of people making these poor animals do their dirty work. dogs don't want pampering.... you're clearly insane.

  • You still don't get it nor have a clue about dogs. Dogs were domesticated to work. You're basically saying that we shouldn't have therapy dogs, rescue dogs, or train dogs b/c it all involves work. Service dogs for the blind. Why not pay a person to help that blind person, right? Therapy dog? Why not get a beautiful person to make the sick feel better. Why train a dog? That's work, god forbid the dog should learn. Leave them to the wild. Pampering a dog is like spoiling a kid.

  • I've never had a spoiled dog. None of my dogs ever lifted a thing or did any work. They played a whole lot and they ate a whole lot. That's why I got them. To play with. Not to be made into slaves. You need to understand the arguments I'm making or lay your comments to rest. Anything a machine can do, let the machine do. If there are specific dog related tasks, then use the dog. How would you like your mom and dad make you carry them to work?

  • Well, first, I'm a grown man so I wouldn't be doing that. You probably didn't know, but service dogs ALSO carry groceries, help pull the laundry basket up the stairs, close and open doors, isn't that slave work? OOh, get the cops! I understand your argument, but you are not smart enough to see that a working dog feels like he has a purpose in life. Like you said, why make a dog WORK as a companion b/c YOU'RE lonely? Get a boyfriend or girlfriend then if you're so lonesome.

  • You really have no idea what you're talking about. You pamper a dog too much and it will not respect you i.e. this is why kids are so damn bad b/c people like you spoil them and it is the same for dogs. Both will run over you. What is the point of dogs then? Companionship? Isn't that what other humans are for? Who needs dogs? Why waste a ton of money on a parasite - a dog to sit around, do nothing but lounge, eat, and sleep. Thank goodness, you're a cult-like minority in your logic.

  • I'm not saying no to all dog-related work. Like seeing eye dogs are good. Drug sniffing dogs are good, tho troublesome to my dealer :D hehe. I'm saying pulling sleds and stuff where dogs are actually made to CARRY THINGS. Guard dogs are a waste of time. A thief can always shoot the dog. And there goes little Scrappy. Do you want to put your dog in the line of fire? I don't. As far as dogs being parasites, not really. All you need dogs for is companionship. If you like playing with one, get one.

  • If we follow your logic, then there is absolutely NO POINT in having a dog. That's what cats are for - to sponge off people. We should end all dogs since they have natural instincts and you're okay with a guard dog - well you do know you have to TEACH the dog HOW to guard correctly, right? Oh no! That's work. Might as well end dogs now because machines, like you said, can satisfy everything dogs can do. That's what television, computers, cell phones are for, isn't it?

  • You must have been a slave owner in your past carnations. Oh... I want a dog. And I'm gonna put him to work. Why? Cuz I can. And I must. So I he will work off all that dog food I've been feeding him. Otherwise, what's the use... If you have a dog, I pity him. And I will take him off your hand where he can sit in my house and do anything he wants. Why do my dogs listen to me? Cuz I treat them kindly. All they need is a little attention everyday and companionship.

  • I treat dogs with respect, but if they are working dogs, then I train them to make them happy. Listen, you're like one in a billion with screwed up views like this and this argument isn't going anywhere. I see your point of view, but you still don't see mine, so I'll end it here. Thanks for the time.

  • I was hoping you'd shut that dumbass up lol... I just read all the "ANTI DOG SLAVERY CUZ I SMOKE WEED" crap... Dogs are actually far happier in a structured environment. They don't think the way we do per se, and enjoy the attention and guidance of a strong leader. They find it rewarding to do tasks you give them, it gives them pride and increases their intellect. Don't get me wrong, my rotts are spoiled as shit haha! But I balance it well, work, play, play, food, food, love and lots more love.

  • It wasn't easy! Some people are blind. But yeah, what I meant by spoiling was that people allow the dog to run over them. The dog jumps on strangers, nibble, growl etc. which is the same as a badass kid with a mom "Oh that's just his way. He's sooo gifted." But you spoil them the right way, y'know, I love Sunday watching football on couch with my dogs eating cheetos but still, they know the "law" and they worked to get that reward - plus my amstaff is a couch potato anyway, he loves it.

  • Surely u do not think that dogs are just mindless lazy machines that do not have the desire to work? They may have been domesticated for thousands of years, but they still retain the same instincts that drive their wolf ancestors to hunt. We have replaced their desire to hunt with a desire to do other things, wheter it be to herd livestock, pull sleds or even simply chase a ball. It's not a matter of whether they like to pull sleds. They simply r most content and happy when they have a job 2 do.
